So no PCP offered. Base model bang on £14k on the road. Next model up which has 'wire' wheels and more colour options along with adaptive suspension £16,950 on the road. No discounts sir so either outright purchase or finance them at Harleys rates...
Can't wait to see one in the flesh.
The Special is £15500 OTR. The wire wheels and adaptive ride height are optional extras. Can't wait to see one in the flesh.

I don't think I'm being fed the correct info if your right in saying that..... I was told base with cast wheels 14k OTR, then the SPecial which has spoked wheels, adaptive headlight / suspension and additional paint options (along with large HD wording on tank / fairing) is 16,950 OTR...Which would make me think the adaptive stuff was standard on that trim level, if that makes sense.....
Anyway, for me it's too much cash. Feel a bit disappointed as I was feeling enthusiastic for it. Still am, just not for me.

If Long Way Up had of been done on these then they would have a hit on their hands.
Yep.To think, my Harley hero as a kid was Evil Kinevel, not a pair of actors!!

I think the suspension is a great bit of novel engineering, pitching you higher than a GS when you're moving along, but then dropping the bike right down when you come to a halt.
I think it's a fab looking thing. Love how - in profile - they've maintained the Road Glide design language in the way the headlamp unit works with the tank.
Deadwood Green for me, please
Looking at the figures for the engine that will go nicely in a range of bikes. With 150bhp I think that its the most powerful production Harley ever made ?
Yeah Its nothing exciting compared to the big KTMs or Ducati, but for Harley it could be the basis of a range of new bikes. I thought the proposed street-fighter style naked they had planned on this engine looked pretty good too. They have been missing something with a bit of go in it since the V-Rod ceased production a few years back due to emissions.

Must be surely! It doesn't really need to be 'that' exciting next to the Ducati / KTM offers as (in my opinion) if you really want a Harley you really want a Harley! That's how I feel anyway. This new engine in a LiveWire looking bike would be wicked. Cheers

I'm still feeling the HD Pan America love. But no experience with HDs or ADV bikes wrt getting nicked. Compared to other bikes, would a HD Pan America be more/less/same likelihood of getting stolen?
no different to any other premium £15-20k bike really......although it is disadvantaged compared to the "regular" Harley anti-theft device i.e something thats 350-400kg is a bit heavier to get in the van, or for some scrotes on a 125cc scooter to push along.FYI all Harleys in the UK come with factory fitted immobiliser/alarm which is useful as in it works and is generally hassle free.

The problem may be that people who want a Harley won't buy the Pan America because it's not a "Harley", while people who want a motorcycle won't buy a Pan America because it is a Harley. This new engine in a LiveWire looking bike would be wicked. Cheers

A little unfair as the unfaird bikes are all closer to 300kg but I get your point!

Its hard to grasp for us, the USA bike market for bikes over 500cc was 60% owned by Harley until a few years ago. Over here the no.1 selling bike is a BMW 1200GS so maybe there is hope for the Pan America to pick up a few percent of the adventure bike market.......
