Hi guys

I’ll be looking to add another bike in the next month or two for the summer road riding.

I have a few off road bikes, some new some classic but I know nothing about road bikes!

Here’s what I need...
1. Upright riding position (for my back!)
2. Some tame off road ability
3. Good for summer evening rides, possibly a touring trip
5. Quick enough to not get left behind
4. Upto £5k

What do I get???

2010-ish Multistrada 1100, KTM 990 Adventure should be in budget, Tiger 1050, Honda XL Varadero, GS of course

If you're feeling really brave then you could try a Benelli Tre K hehe

What is tame off road? Do you need 21 inch front wheel? If so, ktm 990 adventure, africa twin or triumph xc 900

If not. Ktm 990 smt, triumph tiger 1050 sport, and slap some more dirt orientated tyres on if needed.

I dont own an Smt anymore. Had one, sold and then got superduke. But I am a true fanboy, rose tinted glasses. I loved it. I'd do 1000km days down to the south of france. Through the Alps and just blasting locally. That situp supermoto style is comfy and serious fun to throw about.

V storm will be dull and like a boat. If you want smaller look at versys 650.

Multistrada 1000/1100 (the air cooled ones) are in no way off road bikes.
