That was so close to a massive accident.

Local here.

First practice on Sunday and it’s filling up nicely. The course looks superb.

6am this morning and the sun is streaming in and I can here the thrum of bikes blasting up the mountain that we have missed for a couple of year.

The mountain closes at 9:30 and then reopens at 4:30 one way for a fortnight.

If you are coming then have a great time but PLEASE remember that although you are on holiday, my wife and kids are still travelling on the roads to work and school. My mate is still driving his post van trying to do deliveries etc etc.

Observe the speed limits and even when unrestricted - it is still a public road in daily use. If you are frustrated in traffic as a visitor imagine how Dave the plumber feels trying to get to his next job.

Here’s to a great TT, hopefully with very few incidents

Can't wait, definitely getting the £14.99 video pass, be nice to have more than an hour of coverage per day to watch!

What I'm even more excited about is last night I booked the ferry for me and my brother to go over next year. Heading over the Wednesday of practise week and back late on the Sunday so will get to see a Supersport and the superbike race as well. Long ride up to Heysham from Bournemouth though, unfortunately no ferries that worked time wise from Liverpool (not that it's much closer.
Neither of us have ever been before.

Get ready to have your mind blown. Try Hillberry for cornering or the rise at Bray Hill for straightline madness.

Thanks, my dad went in the 70s and said it was mind blowing then, the speeds are certainly a lot lot higher now!

Anywhere recommended to camp? Preferably semi-lively as would like to get some sleep!

I've not had any complaints camping at Glenlough, I'll be there again next year.

I’ve stayed at Glenlough and would recommend it. It’s a great spot and is within walking distance of Douglas and the Grandstand.

It is, as long as you know what to expect! After the closing party in Douglas, a few pints down, we'd missed the last bus and there were a huge queues for taxis, we thought "it can't be that far to walk surely, 20 minutes tops". We were disappointed biglaugh

There is a bus stop directly outside though, very handy.

Check out Glen Wyllin at Kirk Michael, it’s practically on the course yet tucked away and there’s a beach there. Across the road there’s a pub called the Mitre, great spot to watch the racing.

St Johns football club and Peel campsite are also open.

What time of day will the live races be on tt+? Is there a schedule?

Looking forward to this year's races. I still haven't been, I've hit 40 and now have no mates with racing interests. I'll get there eventually, hopefully before they try and stop it altogether.

I've seen Dunlop have withdrawn the Superbike rear tyre and are recommending their treaded option instead, I wonder what the Dunlop riders will do? It's a bit of a curve ball so close to the start of practice...

Absolute PR disaster on their part, got to be a slower tyre using the 213 compared to the others on slicks.

I'm going tomorrow morning until Tuesday, so hopefully catch some practice as long as the weather plays ball and have a nosey round the paddocks, plus beer of course.
