In the meantime I'm greatly enjoying The TT Podcasts, Hicky, McPint and Rutter.

Ball park figure, what's it likely to cost to get 2 people and 2 bikes, probably in a van (as I don't fancy ridiing my 748 all the way from deepest, darkest Cornwall) in something other than a tent for a week?

I'm thinking ahead to the teenager's 21st in a couple of years, I've always wanted to go and I was going to go 5 or 6 years ago with a mate but he sadly passed away so it didn't happen but this seems like a good reason (and excuse to spend a bit !)

Last time I went (2018), we paid around £600 for the ferry for a campervan, then probably £500 for the campsite, going weekend to weekend around race week. If you don't want to camp, I agree with £1500 as a minimum budget.

It will be good to see how it goes around the island, but it didn't come as a shock that MD is on it.

One thing for sure, this will certainly prove one way or the other if Ducati's are still fragile, if it survives Michael on it at the TT it will survive anything

Is Glenn Irwin still riding? I'd love to see him go round, he was awesome at the North West.

Apparently doing lots of ground work in prep, lots of laps by car to get an idea, by all accounts, he's serious, and doing it properly.

He might be slow over the mountain then. Closed yesterday for six weeks for TT prep work.

Given they still haven’t finished Douglas prom, it will be interesting to see when it actually opens.

Lots of positive buzz on island now. There is looking to be drinking options in Douglas like we haven’t seen before so it could be an absolute belter.

Fingers crossed for good weather and a safe event for all.

Really looking forward to the TT this year and MD on a Ducati just adds to the excitement. Only 3 months away before I board the Ferry to the Island. I hope Josh Brookes rides the TT again and it’s great that Glenn Irwin is making his debut there.

I think it’s really good to have such top BSB runners at the TT. Wasn’t Tommy Bridewell considering doing the TT a few years ago. I would love to see him there.

No chance. I’m pretty sure I’ve heard him in interviews saying he has no interest in trying it.

Correct Trickywoo Bridewell was looking at doing North West and TT 2017-2018
