Whomever mentioned GS (and Africa Twin) riders with their wanchor lights is spot on. If they're riding behind i.e. filtering, the effing things burn my retinas.
What's the point?
You're complaining that the lights they have to make them more visible, are making them more visibleWhat's the point?
I have more of a problem with LED car headlights blinding me

That, and half the time the wker lights are so dazzling it makes them harder to see exactly where they are. Awful.
ZZR has been intermittently blowing the brake light fuse when braking. Also takes out the rear lights and plate lights which is nice at night.
Of course every time I've tested it at home it's worked fine. Tested multiple times, all been fine. Tested and cleaned brake switches, tested wiring, nothing. Decided to pull the fairings off and follow the wiring looking for any signs of chafing or a short. Nothing, but whilst pulling on the wiring the meter suddenly flicked up and showed a short to ground on the switched brake circuit.
Much loom pulling, pushing, removal of insulation and wire inspecting ensued trying to find the actual location and then I found this:
Brake light switch to ABS connection. In an absolutely PITA location to get at that meant I had to disconnect most of the loom to pull it through.
This had better be the culprit!

Had my KTM serviced, didn't get hooligan KTM courtesy bike I was hoping for but an NC750S
However, I've always been intrigued by them and have never ridden one so I was happy to take it for a spin. After getting over the shock of how tiny it was, I was initially very impressed as I filtered through rush hour traffic home. Its got good pick up off the line, and being so tiny means it fits in most gaps.
A longer ride on some open roads this morning did rather demonstrate it's weaknesses though. Definitely very flat and budget suspension on open / b-roads.
Fortunately the courtesy bike reminded me how much I like the Super Adventure, so saves me any money looking at new bikes, for now.

We all have to make assumptions round other road users seeing us. We can do things, primarily positioning, to help ensure they do and we can make plans for some situations where they don't but our safety IS wholey dependant upon other road users seeing us.
My new to me KTM 990 SMT!
Back to biking this year after a couple of years off, picked up a 2 year old SV650x in March and despite it being really good generally, it was a bit small for me (6ft 2 and 19 stone) and in the end I wanted a bit more relaxed position and some wind protection on longer rides.
Had this delivered last Friday, what a machine! Even though it’s 10 years old, it’s still got more than enough for the road. Absolutely loving riding it, and as yet, nothing has gone wrong!! 😅

I think I know what you mean but if other road users don't see you you're completely fked!
I agree - I wear a KTM orange jacket rather than extra lights but for the same reasonI nearly pulled out on a biker - dull morning in the countryside, he was all in black and had his headlight on but as I was in my drive on the opposite side it didn't stand out
I looked and didn't see him but just had a feeling, so looked again - he was maybe 150m away but had he been moving fast, pulling out could have killed him, some additional lights or bright clothing and I'd have seen him first time - many don't look a second time

Lovely bike. Enjoy. I had a blast on a 990 Superduke back in the day and thoroughly enjoyed it.Back to biking this year after a couple of years off, picked up a 2 year old SV650x in March and despite it being really good generally, it was a bit small for me (6ft 2 and 19 stone) and in the end I wanted a bit more relaxed position and some wind protection on longer rides.

I know what you mean about being seen - there are cases where you must rely on other people not just pulling straight out on you, but an extra pair of spots won't help.

If they can't see the headlight of an adventure bike they're not going to see the wker lights either - the only thing they do is dazzle and annoy other road users, and make you look like a flute.

That I agree with 100% I know what you mean about being seen - there are cases where you must rely on other people not just pulling straight out on you, but an extra pair of spots won't help.

I love them although I ride the 990SM as the SMT looks a bit too sensible
So far I've had rectifier / battery / water pump issues which are all known weaknesses - if your rear shock still adjusts that's unusual
