Nigh on 2 weeks cleaning , polishing, cleaning , got caught out on country roads with it absolutely chucking it down , bike looked like it had been on a enduro , 99 % there .
I’ve actually enjoyed it , it also helped me as wasn’t sure a bike for retirement that I couldn’t maybe not afford to tax , insure was a good idea , but I’ll enjoy cleaning / general messing about on a old bike , it’s all part of motorcycling & keep my mind active
Nb it won’t be a black bike !!

Went for a long weekend in Wales, 950 miles by the time we got home, apart from the 37C on the way there it was near perfect weather and one of the few times in Wales without rain. A little cloudy over the Black Mountain pass early morning, but soon brightened up.

God I need to get the bike out soon. No riding at all this summer yet. Life keeps finding a way to stop me. These pictures are giving me the itch.

Do it mate. I hadn't ridden since last year up till last week but have just come back from a 4 day road trip to Wales. I was always finding an excuse not to ride. But just thought f*gg it!

Took Big Black up to that Scotland last week. On the way to Kilchoan I couldn't understand why 20 odd miles on a two lane A road was going to take 48 minutes according to Waze...then the A road turned into single track with passing places. Beautiful but flippin' tedious! Glencoe was glorious, warm and sunny last Tuesday, though.

My wife's away this week, so I'm helping out with the horse. Only fair that I pinch her bike to do it on then!
Blimey there's quite the difference in feel between this and the SV - so much lighter!

First track day in absolutely ages. Couldn't get my old GSXR ready in time so I decided to take the hypermotard, brilliant decision!!!!

Popped over to Snetterton too see my friend Ryan riding this on an evening trackday on Monday.

fk me there were a lot of red flags. Not sure what was going on, seemed like every session was stopped at some point.

I did see Birky there, he was always chatting with friends when off the bike so didn t want to disturb, but in case you read this

My mate was there doing that trackday on his white MV F4. I had planned to go see him but the couldn't make it in the end.

Just fitted in a quick trip down through the Vosges, including the Rotes Des Cretes and across in to the Black Forest (the Schauinsland Strasse was epic and not really spoken much about, but sorry no photos of that). Then up to Bastogne in Belgium to check ot the Battle of the Bulge as I love to combine some great biking with a bit of historic interest. The dug out is one of the Easy Company, 101st Airbourne shelters and looks down over Foy.
