looks great, shame I missed the Barton night this year frown

The next "interesting" bike night likely the East Kirky one next month with the Lancaster, will have to make an effort to get to that one

First bike / camping trip on my new bike.

Waiting on delivery of some soft panniers so a certain amount of string / knots involved smile

View was worth it too

Just put the bike up on the ramp to see why my gear shifts were so crap yesterday and to adjust the position of the shift lever to try and improve them.

The quickshifter isn’t even attached to the lever anymore, the bolt is just sat in the hole with the QS rubbing against the frame.

Mid week ride proving that young people are still getting into bikes and still ride sportbikes.

The table of riders behind the bikes suggests otherwise.

Covid seems to have stopped a lot of riding. Most places I’ve been visiting for years are much quieter this year. You’d turn up and there’d be bikes everywhere now there’s a fraction of them.

Effect of petrol price more than covid I reckon.

Lamb Chop Rides has just uploaded a youtube video on the XSR700 conversion.
Yeah I saw that video yesterday and then coincidentally say the LC900 last night. I didn’t know either of these conversions existed.

Put £25 in mine this morning.
Most people don't do huge miles for a Sunday ride, likely spend more on coffee and cholesterol than they do on fuel?

It would be nice if the price of fuel reduced people's keen-ness for lawnmowing.

Covid is still very much out there, it seems to me every week someone I know pretty well is getting it.
As result a few people are winding their necks in, 'don't want to catch it just before I go on holiday' etc.
I'd have thought most people would be thinking it's OK to attend an outdoor gathering though?

I don't think it's petrol price. After all it'd be £20 max difference?

Especially if your a retired company director adventure bike rider.

Possibly a combination of people coming down with covid. I know loads of positive tests local to me.

I’m not sure. My Z1000SX does 52 mpg so for my 220 mile ride yesterday it cost me about £37 in fuel for a full day out. It’s only about a tenner more than pre covid so hardly make or break.

Admittedly I’m taking the bike a lot more at the minute to avoid feeling my C63. That thing makes you take note of the fuel prices!

I've done 300 miles on these brakes, albeit too much was on motorways for my liking, but I fking love them. Honestly the transformation of the bike is unbelievable.
I thought my suspension mod was the best thing ever, I'm not saying they're worth all the money I spent on such an old bike, but if your into stopping your motorcycle.......it is.

Nice bike. Also keeping up Pistonhead traditions of having a bin in the picture. smile

Without the suspension upgrade I doubt it’d be as noticeable. The control of the weight transfer makes a huge difference.
