Belongs to an old lady running a market stall on Gozo island, was telling me how their government is trying to make them scrap all of the old stuff and go electric. Her words were it's all a load of rubbish how can buying new stuff be better than keeping all of the old stuff running, felt like I was having a ulez conversation thousands of miles from home hehe

Oberammergau. Not the prettiest part, but just where I parked.

Ski jumps at Garmish Parkinsomethingorother. Been skiing for 61 years, but I wouldn’t tackle these.

Nothing to say ‘a picture a day’ has to include a bike. Stopped off on Salzburg in Julie Andrews’ tracks and spotted this sign near the Doh, a deer, gardens. For all the world it looks like a warning of pedophiles ahead - he’s even got the weird hat and the kid is tugging away.

Presumably it means something else…I assume.

Anyway, back on the bike after that light relief.

Herr Zeller: Something wrong with your bike Captain?

Georg: Yes, as a matter of fact, we couldn’t get it started

Herr Zeller: Karl, fix Captain von Trapp’s bike so that it will start.

Didn’t realise it was just a cycle path now, honest mistake, missed the sign. But did get yelled at in German…ah well. Not much changed in 85 years then wink

I had to get my cat put to sleep yesterday morning..

I needed to get out and be by myself so spent hours on little back roads around my way. I stopped here to pet some horses while having a smoke

Sorry to hear that John. A few hours alone on the bike (which looks mega by the way) is a good idea, hope it helped.

The ownership experience of this Norton hasn t been great, the whole recall with the awful communication soured my opinion of the bike and I just got to a point where I wasn t sure I could be arsed with the hassle.

Then I got it back and took it for a ride and it reminded me that it s not very powerful and the engine feels like an old Perkins, the switchgear and gauges are outsourced to the cheapest bidder and it vibrates like a spinsters bedside table but

I can t help but love it.
So nice to have a salute from a fellow member

Sorry to hear about the cat too. I burst out greeting at work when I heard mine had to get put down by the vet on the phone. I'm about to have it again shortly I think with one of the O/Hs. It's pish.

Sorry to hear about that. It’s a big enough heartache when they go from old age, really horrible when they have to go before their time. Time heals, a bit…but it takes years. Not much else to say - go for a ride, have a drink and toast the cat (on that order).
