I was looking at a new CB1000F but pretty much for the finance deposit I’ve got this instead, with much cheaper insurance and no monthly commitment going forward.

The fact that I actually enjoyed riding the Street Triple more was a bonus, too! biggrin

Picked this up today to end my four year hiatus of not having a "proper" big bike, after stupidly selling my CB1100 post leg break.

I see why people love Street Triples - such gorgeous responsive handling and an engine which loves to rev & rev.

Needs a service (due on time - a year since the last one) and a rear tyre (it's OK tread wise, but has a date code of 2014 - oddly the front tyre is pretty much brand new!) which I'll set about sorting this week. Done 7k miles and it doesn't look like it's ever seen the rain!

Great bike in the best colour

Went Copdock bike show, ate possibly the worst lamb gyro I've ever had, regretted it all of the way home and this morning. A lot of nice bikes, shows and crap to buy though. 5 a side motorcycle football looks fun.

Thanks. It s exactly what I m looking for as my Ducati Scrambler is a bit of a tart. It s brilliant for the Derbyshire roads and farm tracks and can really hustle with its upgraded Nitron, but I d hate to drop it with all fancy bits bolted to it.

Im kicking myself for not picking up a Scrambler 411 for £3k new.
There's a bloke from up your way on YouTube (adventures with foster) who's been giving his Himalayan a proper kicking on the green lanes. He hasn't broken it yet... well, he's broken bits of it, like the screen. smile

I wanted something cheap, with a warranty, that I didn't have to worry about too much, so the RE was ideal. Used, I suppose that there might be better options, depending on whether you want lighter for the dirt or faster for the tarmac.

It's understandable that not everyone gets on with them, so ride one and see what you think.
Forgot to add that if I was looking now I'd be seriously considering the Hero 200. Less power but a lot lighter and only £2800 on the road.

Is there any nights that are more 'biker'

I might get myself back there a few times
I don't think there's any official meets at the bus for bikes or cars anymore, Thurrock is basically just one big dispersal order now

This was shown to me earlier, think it's more up your way .

After Enduro Saturday did some Mx setup Sunday

Got Farleigh castle vets race next weekend so needed to get these bikes semi ok. Both been unused/blown up

That 500 is so much fun but it's too much power on the tight track I was on Sunday (wild tracks)

It took me longer than comfortable to realise you mean the picture and not the bike

Nice day for a Dax/Monkey meet in southern Germany, we moped 110 Miles ( and back ) on Saturday,
was in a group of 4 with heavy modded minibikes, up to 212cc and 30hp in a Monkey frame.
Went all through Odenwald on c-roads, big fun on small wheels.
