"BT Sports will become known as TNT Sports in July 2023. The newly-named channel will be available on the same channel number via Sky and Virgin.

But TNT Sports’ content will also become available on the Discovery Plus app, meaning MotoGP can be streamed online."

So.....Discovery+ yearly entertainment + sport is £59.99 - https://auth.discoveryplus.com/gb/product?flow=pur...
BT Sport (TNT) on Sky is £29.99 per month - https://www.bt.com/sport/sky#product-cards

Interesting if true.

I've just seen this on Sky

"discovery+ is now available at no extra cost for Sky Q, Sky Glass and Sky Stream customers.

See how to get discovery+ on Sky Marketplace.

Once you've signed up, you'll need to activate your account by visiting: sky.com/discoveryplus-activate."

I've read it is merging with Eurosport as well. Sounds good to me having MotoGP/BSB/Wsbk all on one channel and sub.

Except Eurosport was available on one of the cheaper virgin tv packages. Looks like that won’t be the case after this.

Probably end up having to pay a separate annual sub of £60.

I guess if you don't want the 'BT' MotoGP coverage and just Eurosport it's not great.

I want it all. So it sounds good to me (as long as the overall cost doesn't increase a silly amount).

I guess you can now access Moto gp and wsbk from via one subscription as opposed to two now although I get bt and Eurosport as part of my virgin media package though .

From what I can find Eurosport has wsbk until end of season 2025 and MotoGP end of season 2024

Glad I haven't renewed Videopass yet!

When does the content start on the Discovery+ app? July after the rebrand or now?

What happens for EE or BT customers who have Sport included as part of their contract/package?

We recently got access to Discovery+ with all the Sports and Entertainment content included. I got a text from EE on the 9th of January with a link to set an account up. I've been using it for snooker and the odd TV show.

It's great value. I currently pay about £33 a month for my sim with unlimited calls and texts, 200GB of mobile data (which I use maybe 10% of), BT Sport, and now Discovery+ apps which I stream via my FireStick. It was £28 but I had to pay an extra fiver for BT Sport "big screen".

I'm not sure how that will work when it's all under one banner, but the way I see it my actual SIM contract is about £8pm as BT Sport is £25 on its own. They do tie you in for 24 months at a time, but are quick to offer their best deal at renewal on online chat.

Wondering the same.

Canning the sky as Freesat+Eurosport+f1tv meets most of our needs. Only really leaves MotoGP which the Mrs bought in haste last year but I was wondering if the VPN+googlepay thing would work, but this solves that...

I doubt if all you're after is BSB, WSB and MotoGP that is is going to cost more. Fed up of having to pay for BT sports just for MotoGP and Discovery+ separately.

Can only be a good thing for my wallet

Just added Discovery Plus to my Sky account. WSB there, no motogp yet, but season not started. May only get motogp, no moto 2/3 but will see when season starts. Hopefully won't need to renew motogp.com

I'm not seeing TNT on the Discovery+ app yet, just Eurosport for now. There was a coverage cockup last year and we got a month free so won't be renewing Videopass for a few weeks yet... or hopefully not at all?

I'm guessing it won't be on until the change in July.

Be interesting to see how this works. I have Eurosport via a Polish subscription for just £18 a year and watch a lot of BSB, WSB and cycling, so hope it doesn't end up costing more to see these. BSB have a 7 year contract which started in 2021 for their coverage including some free to air races on Quest. Also, Eurosport won't come across to the new channel until post 2024 Olympics.

Any movement on this?

Season opener next weekend, so need to sort viewing out; will be pssed if we pay $$$$ for the annual sub then it pops up on Eurosport in a bit.

I could suggest the VPN thing or basically what I do, there are lots of ways you can watch without paying a dime. I do not know if MotoGP is free anywhere to watch, I doubt it Dorna are obsessed with money. Yes, its annoying, yes it can be hard to find decent methods, but I have never missed a race.

But obviously that runs a risk.

But I have watched MotoGP for donkeys years without paying a cent for it, obviously makes me a thief but who cares, certainly not me.

Thanks for this, didn't realise. Will get that set up but presumably will have to wait until July to be able to use it..?
