But I have watched MotoGP for donkeys years without paying a cent for it, obviously makes me a thief but who cares, certainly not me.
Do you steal from shops, too?

The shops don't force you to pay for goods you don't require. In this case expensive football rights.

I could suggest the VPN thing or basically what I do, there are lots of ways you can watch without paying a dime. I do not know if MotoGP is free anywhere to watch, I doubt it Dorna are obsessed with money. Yes, its annoying, yes it can be hard to find decent methods, but I have never missed a race.

I live in germany and often stream the MotoGP races live when I am at work. No subscrition but it is location locked to germeny but a proxy server set to germany should do the trick. They show saturday qually and all the races live. commentary is in germany but my german is cr4p and still follow it well, plus its all free.

Yes I know what you mean, I have found several countries while searching for decent streams, and have often watched a race with foreign comms, Italian is most entertaining! Reckon once found one in Polish too.

But these days I often only watch Moto3 as the racing in 2 and GP has been less than great last couple of years, depends on first few laps really

"MotoGP has a deal to remain with BT Sports (and from July, TNT Sports) until at least the end of 2024."

So sounds like TNT Sports/Discovery+ from July.

Sorry if this has been covered already, but if I currently have BT Sport but not Discovery (or TNT I guess?) do I lose the ability to watch MotoGP? Or is BT Sport becoming TNT so just a name change?

I’m expecting it to just change name and everything else stays the same so my bt sport sub with virgin will remain.be interested to see if the discovery plus sports app stays at £6.99 as it will then have wsbk/bsb and Moto gp

If you have BT Sport i think you do already have discovery plus access? Since last year when they merged/invested whatever BT subscribers have has access to Discovery too.

Good sign on Eurosport's WSBK coverage, I'm watching Race 1 on Discovery + right now and they had Neal Hodgson on (he's part of the BT Sport MotoGP team) and he was talking about one big happy TNT family. So if he's there it must mean MotoGP will be on July 18th when it switches over, although the next race isn't until the 6th August.

Be good for the customer if its a one stop shop for bsb wsbk and Moto GP in the UK anyway but depends on the price as I can't see all that being the current £6.99 per month

If it's Discovery+ that's £60 a year... At that price I'll be tempted to keep watching! biggrin

Bt sport is massively overpriced as you're paying for their kick-ball rights. MotoGP.com charge UK subscribers far more than other countries as they can't sell the rights then undercut bt; f1 TV is like £60 a year (also technically unavailable in the UK due to sky sports having the rights, but they don't police it quite as egregiously)

The lack of being able to watch it for a reasonable sum must be hurting motoGP; the value is in the veiwing.

I've just seen this on Sky

"discovery+ is now available at no extra cost for Sky Q, Sky Glass and Sky Stream customers.

See how to get discovery+ on Sky Marketplace.

Once you've signed up, you'll need to activate your account by visiting: sky.com/discoveryplus-activate."
Thanks for that

Thats IF it stays at that price - i cant see it maintaining that level of pricing to be honest, if its £60 a year for TNT which covers btsport/eurosport/discovery its a BARGAIN!

Motorsports could all be on TNT Sports/Discovery+ service but I wonder if they might separate the football/other sports that people would pay stupid money for out to another channel requiring another subscription. Doesn't bother me but it's something they could do.

They will always try and bolster their funds by asking you the viewer to pay for the rights they pay for, MotoGP is not cheap to cover or pay for, but is small fry next to football

I refuse to pay for any of it, but that is another argument.

https://www.cordbusters.co.uk/tnt-sports-channels-...

"Starting July 18th, TNT Sports will become a part of the Discovery+ streaming service, providing a rich roster of global sports events to stream for fans across the UK. This will eventually replace the current BT Sport Monthly Pass streaming offer, with Discovery+ becoming the go-to streaming app for TNT Sports."

"Regarding the switch from the BT Sport app to TNT Sports, we’ve also heard that on launch day, the TNT Sports live channels and full match replays will become available in the Discovery+ app."

"What we do know, for now, is that pricing for existing BT Sport subscribers on the pay-TV platforms (Sky, Virgin Media and BT TV) will not change with the switch to TNT Sports (at least not at launch). What happens with Discovery+ subscribers – and whether they’ll need to pay more for access to TNT Sports – remains to be seen."

I'm wondering then if there will be a 3rd level monthly/annual plan.
