For the sake of the sport I hope they limit the number of bikes per manufacturer to 4 (2 teams). Ducati have a huge data advantage, and it's just not exciting to watch 5 Ducati's race each other. Still sad Suzuki left at the end of last year. Honda better bring something to the party, but at least they've been up front about the quality of their riders - in their own words if we can't win with this team then it must be the bike. No st. KTM look a bit lost still, but be interesting to see what Aprilia can do with 4 bikes. Yamaha appear to be in the same place as last season, Frankie will be out of a job unless he's somehow found 50hp, especially after being beaten by Cal last year.
Fingers crossed for Jake Dixon, be nice to see him and Sam mixing it at the front. JD for 2023 Moto2 world champion?

Problem with that is you've lost 4 bikes from the grid with that approach, Suzuki gone, Yamaha with 2 bikes, there are grid slots available but not enough manufacturers, just because Ducati can supply more bikes is just as much a problem that Honda, Yamaha, KTM and Aprilia haven't.Fingers crossed for Jake Dixon, be nice to see him and Sam mixing it at the front. Just arrived in praia da Rocha in portimao and will be spending the next couple of days at the circuit
Did you just plug your phone in to charge there, they've just had a power cut at the circuit.Looking over towards the circuit from my balcony in Carvoeiro. A bit of cloud over the Monchique but otherwise sunny skies and 21C . Looks like perfect weather for the weekend also.
Yazza don’t worry too much re the lingo. A pint is a known as a “caneca” whilst if you want to go large (a full litre) its a “girafa”
Have fun.

Pol Espargaro big off, they haven't shown much after his high side but I wonder if he & his bike slid on together, cut the corner and took out Oliviera as he had gone down as well at the same place. Rider is conscious they say.
Edited to add. They have just shown Oliviera, he had a big high side out of the corner Pol crashed into.

True, but no one was sandbagging it was all out and going for it, that session could determine who goes through automatically to Q2 if the morning FP3 is as expected a slower session.
Agree new lap records set etc. Alex Marquez is looking tasty on the Duc. He seemed to set a strong lap fairly early and it took a long time to go, I know it eventually got destroyed but I wonder how hard he was pushing. Find out tomorrow. For now I'm currently chugging sagres, stuffing my face with swordfish and listening to someone bounce a cbr600 off the limiter outside Gassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
