My last bike- the previous owner did 100 miles in a year, he seemed proud of himself.
I promptly did 5,000miles in 3 months on it.
Nothing wrong with drls though, they help you be seen without dazzling others. What the dheads are doing is using driving lights or fog lights as drls then making excuses for it, because they are the only road user that matters.
There is no need for it drls do the job just as well.
No amount of adjustment makes up for the fact changes in road incline, and movement of suspension, worse on bikes with long travel suspension means you will definitely be blinding people from time to time and that marks you out as a wker.

I can understand why that would be. The Multistrada lights are probably the best night lighting I have used on any vehicle car/bike/ lorry. They are linked to the IMU so corner with you. From which model year has those lights? Are the same lights fitted to any other Ducatis?I followed a parallel twin GS yesterday. I cannot remember the year on the plate, I think it was 2020>, but the exhaust was on the NS. No panniers just a top box. It had a crud catcher with 'GS' on it. Their path made it easier for me to follow through the traffic.
If the rider wasn't a woman he had a very neat hair cut at the back. I eased off in a forty limit as their path had made it easier for me to get where I was going and I wasn't interested in keeping up. I didn't see the front so cannot comment on any additional lamps.

Have you seen/tried the sequential cornering lights on the current Africa Twin? I know I'm biased but, my word, they're excellent. The more you lean, the more lights illuminate, so you always have light cast in front of you. It's really good!carinaman said:

I took my bike in yesterday for a service and got given a 1300GS as a loan bike.
Every other bike I saw totally ignored me
Interestingly despite being 50 something and never likely to go off road so the prime demographic for a GS I didn’t really like it and wouldn’t want one.

I have one (a 1300, non GSA).
I like it, I think it’s a fresh take on the GS formula but is still very recognisably a GS. I don’t get the hate for the light, I think it looks great.
It’s a bit like that sketch where Jeremy Clarkson says James May is ugly. I mean, the previous GS lights were plain odd. (And I know, there’s a reason behind that, it was a function vs form thing).
Maybe there’s something a bit wrong with me, but I like how it rides, too. To each, their own..
