It was great to get live coverage on Quest today!
Brilliant ride by Rory Skinner to win with a couple of seconds in hand, but for some reason there was quite a high rate of attrition. Shame I'll only get highlights of tomorrow's action though.
As a long time TT fan I was also pleased to see Hutchy get 6th place in Superstock and Dean Harrison almost get on the podium in Supersport.
What with that and the live Moto GP race yesterday maybe I need to think about getting TNT next year!

f
k TNT and their s
tty service.
Ive missed 2 races this year as the series record has failed due to them bouncing the series all over their 15 s
tty channels.
Specifically went through the TV guide Friday , and hit record on all TNT channels with BSBS, and it quit half way through yesterdays racing.
Getting to the point I cant really be arsed with it now.

Why not just use the HBO Max app? Surely everyone has a smart TV or fire stick these days? The app is faultless, watch on demand and also live, no issues with recording it’s just all there when you want it.

It’s actually very easy if you have a sub, you can use your TNT login for the HBO max app.
Great run of form for Ryan Vickers, 4 wins from the last 5 races, and on very different tracks.
Rory was fantastic in qualifying, that drift through the hairpin….. He was right on or just over his limit all weekend, shame he probably just tried a bit too hard overall, but his race 1 win was well deserved.
Ray was possibly quickest of all, but Vickers had him covered with great race craft.
Fair play to Kyle, king of the mountain despite clearly not feeing well, that’s how championship wins are made.
And lovely to see Carl Harris get a win in the sportbike race, very special indeed.
We are fortunate to have such great & competitive domestic championships here in the UK.

Been saying it for a long time. Ryan Vickers has the edge and will be a future WSBK Champion to follow Fogarty, Hodgson and Toseland.
I don't think so, not unless he can find someone with really deep pockets. Undoubtedly the boy can ride at a very high standard but unless he has some very serious financial backing, he will never be on a bike that will give him the chance. Look at his brief foray into wsbk with motocorsa, one season in and half decent results and then Surra comes calling with a lot of money behind him and adios Ryan.It isn't that he couldn't do it, it's the fact nobody wants to bank roll British riders these days with very few exceptions.

The Honda team have links to the WSBK team so perhaps theres a way in there if Honda set up another team as is rumoured. Would do a fair bit better than Chantra.
Chantra is a marketing tool. Vickers winning or even being in WSBK womt make any difference to Honda sales here. I think he’s done a great job so far and Honda have definitely found something as O’Halloran has come alive too. The fact it’s stopping the Ducatis running away with every race is a real positive.

Is that like how you've been saying for ages Leon Haslam is going to take the BSB title?Joking aside Vickers has made a big step since he went to WSBK. He was always really fast but was a bit of a crasher. Seems to be more like the full package now. Hard to say if it just another two years experience/ maturity or racing in WSBK that has done it. Ryde has improved massively in the same period for instance.

He is certainly the in the top 5 of British Riders over the last 20 years.
The sad thing is that unless he finds a ton of money Vickers is unlikely to get back to SBK, he did OK when he was there, but was consistently among the slowest of those on a Ducati, ok he was new and learning, and probably not allowed to change the bike much, but that is just how it is there, you either pay more or manage to get the results or you are done, it is almost a Dorna GP riders retirement home, BSB guys are not what they want there.
Being with Honda and doing well is a bonus, he could get SBK rides as Dixon looks finished really, he could also get Suzuka which pays well. Skinner was eaten up and thrown out of GP, as was Ray in SBK,and now Vickers, Brits are not wanted there, it's that simple, and MSV for obvious reasons don't want to lose their star riders.

People stupidly wrote Leon off a few years ago. At 43 years old, whilst I wouldn t consider him a title fighter he remains capable of getting wins and podiums.

I'd dispute that when you have the likes of Kiyonari, Byrne, Brookes and Ryde who have all won multiple titles in the last 20 years, never mind the likes of Hill, Ray, Glenn Irwin who have been nipping at their heels multiple seasons, Irwin in particular has been runner up at least twice. He is certainly the in the top 5 of British Riders over the last 20 years.
Yes Haslam can ride a bike just as well as most, in some cases better than but his days as a race winner and front runner are fading rapidly imho.
