The mighty mopeds of team ballbag taking a short break.
Had another really good time this year despite being the only one in the team to crash. The organisers are looking to get 60 teams next year and laying out a bigger track, I imagine it'll be absolute mayhem!
Was this one of the Moped Mayhem races??Had another really good time this year despite being the only one in the team to crash. The organisers are looking to get 60 teams next year and laying out a bigger track, I imagine it'll be absolute mayhem!

Me, Rob and Chris talked about doing one on a C90 a couple of years ago (RAF Wittering one). The rules at that one, were twist and go 50cc 2 stroke or 90cc semi auto 4 stroke, I believe - essentially, scooters and C90s.

Rules for this are pretty much the same. 50cc 2 strokes or 90cc 4 stroke, they can be manual auto whatever but no pitbikes or mini-bikes, and they must be in a road worthy condition.Would still be up for one

There's normally one at RAF Benson as well and we're looking to take part in a few more.
Teams are made up of 4 people.
It was a real good laugh, no one takes it seriously and laps/times aren't counted it's just a bit of an excuse to knock handlebars and have a bit of fun.
Should have a few more photos soon.
Took the last minute decision on Friday night to head through to North Berwick (from Glasgow) for a few pints with the boys (one of the lads has a family holiday home through there). Cold and dark ride through but woke up early Saturday morning to a stunning day so back out for a blat around the area.
On Sunday decided to give the bike a wash and a dose of AC-50 in prep for the winter:

My physiotherapy (fixing the bike) is coming along nicely despite looking like R2-D2 in my computer chair.
Wheels are away getting plastic coated.
KAIS rear shock is out ready to be replaced by a brand new standard one.
Panels are all de-stickered ready to go off for painting.
The only panels that have been off the bike since it was new are the belly pan and seat unit. Once the side panels and headlight cowl were taken off I was shocked at how plain dirty it is. I've spent most of the day cleaning all the stuff you can't see.
I've also found a couple of broken plastic brackets that need replacing so it's off to see my local dealer for them plus the small engine cover and bar end weight.
I have the cat and link pipe to look forward to cleaning over the next few days plus soaking the chain in paraffin.
That red oxide primer has come up shiney Wheels are away getting plastic coated.
