have got to be the biggest load of old s*-te. Handling is something unheard of in the good old us of a. Look at the heat distribution of a Viper at the tyre as opposed to a Porsche 996 in cornering. The Viper loads all heat upon the oposite side of the wheel to corner, resulting in a car that cannot handle, whereas the 996 evenly loads the heat distribution, resulting in a car that handles excellently.

Check out www.kent.k12.wa.us/staff/trobinso/physicspages/po2001/Handling/grip.html

to see the Physics behind this. American cars = ugly, poorly designed monstrocities with big engines, and no handling. Try taking a Viper around a track against a 996, or to think of it, against anything given it will not make 1 single lap without crashing at the first chicane, and see which will be triumphant. The 8.3 litre American pile of S*-te, or a German piece of automotive excellence.

I can sort of realise why Americans buy these pieces of crap, but any non American purchase is simply unforgivable. US propaganda tells them to, but what is any Europeans excuse???.

Why have you come into the Viper forum to slate Viper owners?

Anyway, maybe people dont buy cars just on handling? Some people like the way American cars look, and sound.

A Mustang GTO sounds a little more meaty than a air cooled 911 IMO

haven't heard of a Porsche winning Lemans or FIA recently, last time I went to watch there were corners on the tracks ??
still both cars will handle better and are quicker than a jag

just click on the guys username, we've got various jags at our works including a spanking new XKR, nice to look at sort of, but having driven it I must say for that sort of money its not only slow but fairly boring to drive, 20" wheels are cool

Was going to buy the Jaguar XKR before the Porsche but the depreciation is faster than an Iraq retreat.

You need to grow up I drive both and I find all that weight at the rear an interesting problem but both cars handle great.

Even gave a track ride to a Elise owner who could not believe how well the Viper GTS handled.

Plus the Viper has fully adjustable front and rear suspension why would the factory bother if it was a dead duck.

As they say check out Le Mans and watch a sorted Viper take a 996 on the inside of most bends.
