What's the final engine spec ? 5.0 ? It's a nice rewarding job doing a body off , would love to do another one !

The spec for the engine is basically reworked standard engine with an scpower blower with my mods to timing issues etc.running vectra matched injectors reason for blower as opposed to tuning is nice docile engine low down for bimbling around then a mad thing when clogged.

havent been doing enough to update lately but that changed today, collected chassis and sundries, exhaust etc. from prospray all looking great, finished needle gunning the diff supprised at the amount of rust on the casing, finished masking all the engine components get the paint thursday, also first coat of black velvet on the exhaust and manifolds looks good already, plus been doing a lot of research on the ignition retarding sort of got my head around it more to follow on this when i have it sussed, the last picture is a complete car in bits on the shelves just realised ive got to put it together again.

another good day today built a press to remove the bushes from the wishbones and shocks, plus pushed them all out, second coated the manifolds and crossover, needle gunned the bearing housings from the rear axle plus stripped the shocks down and cleaned them up for paint, springs are the only thing to be powder coated it really is the kiss of death on anything else, just a few pics to illustrate the ongonig work, thanks for looking

p.s.last pics are a couple of pics from two recent project might be of interest, fordson was a complete rebuild, logsplitter just something i always wanted.

I see you are converting the Chim to PAS.

Aren't you worried about making the steering feel wooden?

John, you must have spent more time building your press then I did assembling Dereks enginesmile.

BTW, I used 2 carpenters cramps lashed together to avoid "spread", always was a bodger, it's quicker hehe.

I also have a log splitter built by my friend "Ryobi" wink.

I have fond memories of a Fordson Super Major. Extra power and black smoke by pullimg out a spring pin on the Simms injector pump. Hydraulics not quite up to the task of lifting a Ransoms 3 furrow reversible but diff lock and pump pull out pin were good for the tough bits.
Enough said, now back to TVR. Well done so far but expecting a few surprises on rebuild. We all expect a few novel ways of solving them. There will also be some novel advice from us experts, drips under pressure !!!

not a bad day yesterday, cleaned up the other rear bearing carrier and got the parts finally cleaned for paint, then etch primed them and undercoated so ready for top coat monday, dont sound much for a days work but prep takes time, also stripped some of the gauges out ready for the new dials plus took delivery of the autograss powered steering column so i can get to work on the carbon fibre work to strengthen the dash fixing area plus the brackets and stiffeners to the pedal box.
