Cheers, I have 2 threads running already so I don't want to keep posting stuff up, it may get a bit annoying.

However, these 2 are the front runners for now...

i've heard this Alexhairdresselz fellow knows his onions. Let's hope he knows his TVRs too.
It would be bordering on gross stupidity if you did not go and see this based on where you and the car are based and what the current owner has done to it. If I was still in the market I would have driven to see this one biggrin

Even though I run a very high risk of earning myself my very first 'whoosh' Parrot, I will say it anyway.

Looking at his profile, I'd say the chap does indeed know his TVR's...... dunno 'bout Onions though, is he a Farmer or something smile

Probably petrol prices absolutely crippling people. You're right though, compared to a few months ago when i got mine there doesn't seem to be many around at low prices. There were some absolute bargains around when i got mine !
I think mines the cheapest on PH frown Next cheapest is a salvage "project"

Price is always the thing,I bought an pretty mint one but then the upgrades start and you can soon spend some dosh, that one has had good wedge spent just as a hobby, if you didnt want to play with things, it would a good one to just look after and enjoy (and, no i have nothing to do with the vendor!!) on that note I have spent over 2K in 6 months just on "improvements", got to sit on my hands now otherwise the missus will cut them off!!

I see what you're saying..... just wondering if I should blow the budget on that one? Certainly wouldn't need anything doing to it....

A good thing to do would be to look at a "good one" and take a drive, then look at an advertised "mint one" see what you think, in any form they are fantastic !

Can't blame a man for trying. It's hard to sell a car out there. And for the record - you're right on the Grantura rebuild - 1500 was a typo. Should have been 500. dvert has been amended accordingly. And it was serviced in Feb by Chris Draycott Motorsport so at least I can take the factual high ground if not the moral one!

True - I am almost hoping it doesn't sell so I can enjoy the summer in it.

Lovely Chim mate its clearly had a lot of time and money spent on it but bit cheeky telling everyone what you paid for it on your blog then trying to sell for £6.5k more!eek Fair play to you if you get it though!

Don't forget that TVR sold substantially more Chimaeras than any other model. It is inevitable that there would be substantially more Chimaeras being sold on the second hand market

The price rise is my fault sorry!

I showed a bit of interest in them.

I look at morgan and they become fashionable, I look at e-types and they double in price. I showed an interest in 70's 911 and they shot up in price nearly over night!

But don't worry as soon as I get one, they will plummet and I won't be able to give it away.

I'm glad you took the blame thumbup

That is exactly what usually happens when I want to buy something interesting. Think I will have to wait untill you have bought yours and the prices drop biggrin

Tell you what, i travelled from Halifax in Yorkshire to buy my Chim in Newquay Cornwall 7 years ago.

If you are after a car with everything, and dont mind Green cars, you would be stupid not to concider this car no matter where you live!!

Condition is everything...and this car has everything...if i was on my own, i would by it just for the sake of it.
