You're trying to tease us aren't you?!!

Is that for all floor carpets/transmission tunnel and 'back shelf'. Would be useful to know details if other sets are available. Do they make to order?

Well..... they claim to have the entire carpet patterns for a Chimp. As such, all sets are made to order with prices dependent on carpet choice (£180 to £235 +P&P)... all sets are edged in matching material etc

They have promised to post me carpet samples today... so fingers crossed.

It for ALL the interior carpet & includes Piping. They sent me colour samples plus 2 A4 pages showing the sections included in the price. Quality looks A1 as well. It's going to be one of my winter jobs

Great! Mine aren't worn - but you can see the hessian backing around the inspection panels behind the doors. Looks very scruffy to me. Anybody else got this problem?

BTW = I already had this site bookmarked but never followed up because they didn't list TVR. I have sent an e-mail enquiry.

Yup, some fraying around the inspection panels on mine. Also where the ICE fitters pulled the carpets in the footwells.

I don't see TVR listed in their carpet sets though. Have they just started doing them?

TVR don't do Butterscotch any more, so I'm going to have to do the whole lot just to tidy up the scruffy bits. I don't mind having a go, but don't want to pay £600 for a carpet set just because TVR dropped my carpet colour.

They have been doing carpet sets for TVR for well over a year now.

Taken the liberty of changing the title and making it an FAQ for future reference.

This gets better.... glad to hear others have tried this place...

I hope to get the colour samples today.. they muttered about a 3 week (ish) delivery time.

I may even ask if they can do foot mats to match and order a spare bit... in case a mini repair is ever needed

Anyone know if they include sections for the doors?

Well at least you didn't rip out a section to send to TVR for colour match just to get the reply that they don't do that colour any more! I now have no carpet on the footwell wall at all.

Which reminds me. Under the carpet there you'll find some big holes in the glassfibre where wiring goes through the sills, and access to the door hinge bolts. Without a carpet there there is enough wind blast through there to freeze my ankles off, and make my trousers filthy. Must come in around the indicators and flow over the wheelarch into the sills. No wonder the carpets down there always get grubby.

Ref my earlier post and to f/up victoemeldrew/tonyrec posts.

Earlier this year TMS said they could still get carpet sections from the factory so I sent them my carpet code from the handbook (V0308) plus a sample cut from the rear of the footwell mat. They quoted 17.68 ea. plus vat for these side panels. The squares under the seats were 31.00 ea and footwell mats 49.00 ea. So, for these few pieces it would be £230! I just ordered the side pieces. They sent the wrong colour! But I believe they came from the factory (?). I gave up.

But I am now very interested. No response to my e-mail yet though

Got their brochure and quote for Chim on Saturday! They offer latex backed polyprop at £180 or 80/20 wool at £235. All inc VAT plus carriage £7.50. Bargain!

Unfortunately they didn't send the samples I asked for (two blue colours available) - so they sent black!. I think these are standard samples to show backing material. I'll try again.

I just got an identical quote and samples from these guys and I only emailed them yesterday morning! Now I'm iching to place an order with them, only thing is - they say their templates are for a 94 Chimaera so I'm wondering if there were any interior changes to the car that might mean something won't fit... Anyone know if there've been any major (or minor) changes to the interior over the years?

Cheers,

Mark

Hi Mark C,

I do believe there have been no changes at all on the carpets, not a stitch, if you forgive the pun.

I think that the passenger footwell in later cars (post '98?) is a bit bigger than earlier cars, so I imagine the carpets would have to be a little bigger...

Did they start fitting smaller batteries then?

These guys are very responsive to e-mail requests. I sent an e-mail requesting bigger samples of the blue available and received them in two days. With samples of leathercloth binding colour too! Look to be good quality but binding is not leather (as my original carpet). Still can't decide on either light blue with navy binding, navy blue with grey or grey with navy.

Car is Mica Blue (dark blue) with wedgwood grey (light/mid grey) full leather interior. Original is navy with grey binding. Any offers?
