If the customer wants to risk a motor with big mileage it's there call but we would request a signed agreement to cover all parties...

Big milaege is my pals 240K A4 but I get Doms point as you don't know the history or how the car's been treated.

Let's face it - if a customer is thinking of adding a turbo then it's not going to have had an easy life but it's likely to have been looked after... smile

Surely a comp test and leak down test will tell you the health of the engine rather than going on mileage

Ah, it's more involved then that!

There's big ends, mains, cams, cam bearings, rockers, oil pump and I'm sure there's a few more things..................

OK, Power's website doesn't have a kit for the 500.... Would that have anything to do with the supposedly weak standard 500 crank? Dom?
All kits are developed for 4 ltr 4.5ltr and 5ltrs, as for weak 5ltr cranks I've not had a failed crank for many many years so I'm not worried about running 500 bhp which is easily achievable...

Dom
Right. I need to know more about this '500 bhp which is easily achievable' That's the same as hearing 'Angelina Jolie just called and wants to go to bed with you' woohoo

Not that I am pedantic, Dick, (oh yes I am) laughbut I would class that as "similar", not "the same". I think I might be able to tell the difference between a session with AJ and a session in a 500 bhp Turbo Chimaera, though I agree that both could have me waving something......
