Me too - must do more though. My car smells of fuel every time I drive it. And there is a clunk from the front right brake first time I use the middle pedal.
You might have a Caliper to hub retaining bolt loose Anthony. Best check ASAP. Could be a pad breaking up after trackday so have a close look buddy thumbup

Yes, it is loose calliper bolt or a moving pad. My pads are the type that slot in from the back, so just one retaining pin per calliper and no springs, so one could be moving, but I have lost a calliper bolt once (6 weeks after we changed the pads at jones between Mariam trackdays in 2013) and sheared one once, and that was twice I don’t want to repeat, so I will check.
On the plus side, the brakes were reassembled after the rebuild last year by Mat Smith, so the chance of there being a loose bolt is the far side of absolute zero.

On both occasions tracks were involved so likely just come loose from stopping heavily. Probably never come loose on the road if it’s torqued up as Matt will do.

I am getting to screaming point with Apple autocorrect....Who are jones and Mariam? Who do Apple think they are?
Alun will remember well enough, but for anyone else mad enough to read my rantings, I typed (correctly) "home" and "Marham", and some tt in Silicon Valley thought he knew better.

I didn’t know how to spell in English let alone spelling in American! I hate it. I’m sure my spelling is actually better but now I’m word blind and can’t recognise a real word from a fake yank one biggrin
It’s not funny!

Here is what I did. I had the window full down and then fed the inset between window and rail. I then raised and lowered the window holding the insert on the up and letting it be dragged down on the down.

Once it had dragged enough to align the insert I raised the window and then used a small spanner inside the felt groove to bed the insert in to the rail. Finally I lowered the window to get to the last bit.

Oh and as always a little lube helps. Especially that last bit which is super fiddly.
Due to the plastic inserts have not be fitted I know have water damage causing the new leather to crack below the speakers ..

Did 300 mile round trip from Cardiff to Northants Sat/Sun during which the l/h indicator started to double time intermittently so today I investigated and sorted some corrosion in the connection plug plus took the dash out to sort the odometer/trip switch not working. Then cleaned up the air filter and refitted it (had to take it out due to access issues for the indicator and decreasing amount of skin on my left arm.

Then I went for a drive smile

Yesterday, placed an order for Brian's reworked door mirror mounting shafts. Today, took a screwdriver an hammer to the existing mirror shaft. I now know where the grub screw is! I am so glad I came across Brian's kit, I would never have got the mirror off and back on in one piece.

Did the same this weekend as my mirror gave up and was just dangling. Only managed the drivers side though. Had to destroy the original plastic collar and drift the original mount off with a punch. Then shaped and fitted a stainless steel exhaust reducer instead of the black plastic collar as per someone elses mod on the original mirror thread. Looks good. Dead easy to remove the mirror now.

Changed the rear pads due to an awful squeal, and fitted a catch tank,
In doing so cured my eratic idle by adding another vacuum takeoff and screwing the idle speed screw right in, it now runs leaner without hunting with the bonus of a pcv
