Mine (98 model) had a mix of w5w (push in) in the rev counter and the rest where BA9S's (bayonet) I just replaced the bulb holders for the w5w's with BA9s ones so that I could match the LEDs. If the holder for the other dials fit then you could do this. I bought a 10 pack as it was only a little more than buying the 2 I needed. If you want one you're welcome to it.

I unfortunately went for blue LEDs to match the car's paint and now regret it. Not easy on the eyes while night driving. do you have a link to the white ones you have? I did order some from the far east but they've not arrived. The blue ones are good but I had to sand down the heads to fit into the dials.

For those who, like me carn't be arsed to fiddle with all the grief involved, what about throwing money at it?

http://www.centraltvr.com/product/griffith-carbon-...

And no, it isn't a griff dash, as you can see from the pictures, it is an early Chimaera dash. For me, at my advanced age, the thought of having to undo all that lot and get them, including the lights, back in place, is something from Nightmare on TVR Street.

So I will soon be paying Adrian at Central to get his nimble fingered crew onto my car and do it for me.

And I am not questioning all the good work done by the OP - all power to your elbows........ and wrists, and fingers, and knees and back.

I am just offering an alternative solution.

Once the head unit is out, take the head unit chassis out and you'll find two screws either side of the head unit aperture

Normal radio extraction tools first, once you have removed any trim from around it. If you don't have those, a couple of steel rulers, one down each side, can release the retaining lugs, or a couple of very slim flat knife blades from granny's bone handled canteen of cutlery
