Does anyone know if these bulbs will fit the Tuscan? In other words do the Tuscan and Chimaera share the exact same bulb fitment? I ask because on eBay there seems to be slightly different types of fitment. Also are the front indicator ones the same fitment as well? Thanks

These bulbs are otherwise known as 21/5W or 380 bulbs and if the Tuscan is a combined tail and stop light it should be fine.

Not sure about the indicator park.

What I would say is that if they don't work, you have 14 days to return them for a full refund (distance selling regs and also in the ebay sellers terms).

If you're buying LED lights for indicators and your car is originally fitted with old filament bulbs then you need to buy LED ones that say they are CANBUS ERROR FREE. That means that they come with a resistor fitted to stop your flasher unit thinking that you have a dead bulb.

These bulbs ARE NOT 80W! It would be impossible to cool the CREE chips for that sort of power. You are being ripped off by that seller. I have CREE LED bulbs in every position in my Cerbera, they are 9W Cree and bright enough to hurt your eyes when you look at them, and strangely look the same as the link, but I didn't pay that much for mine.

PS I'm a ex electronics engineer and now electrical contractor, and some of the stuff that comes out of china is good, but a lot isn't.

I commented on this earlier. Nobody seems fooled by the pwoer rating and believes it, but they do seem to work fine and are nice and bright. Just because my stereo doesn't actually produce 120000watts (pmpo) doesn't mean it's not perfectly loud enough for the room it's in!

Item 331155494411. These are the types I have but direct from china, so cheaper than this. Just search for Cree led ba15s ( or what ever bulb you need)

I've just received mine, but I can't work out how to gain access to the bulb.

I've pulled back the carpet, and this is what I have (mine are the later non-Fiesta light clusters):

The rubber gaiter doesn't feel like it wants to pull away, or am I just not pulling hard enough? I don't want to break anything!

What do you do? confused

I've worked it out!

You grab the metal bit and pull!

I was surprised to find that someone has already fitted LED stop/tails in the past, but the new one is MUCH brighter. Now to see if I can get a mirror to see the effect of the brake lights.

ETA: I now realise the light unit is meant to screw on and off. And I had the bulb in the wrong way round, so it was permanently on brake lights. Now that I've fitted them properly and checked with a mirror, they are a bit brighter than what was there before, but not as ridiculously bright as they were when wrongly fitted!

Not my finest hour... getmecoat

So I can report that these do work in the later non-Fiesta light clusters.

Just ordered a pair from car mod shop. 10% discount using the code AUDIFORUM.
Going to stick them on the Alfa to try them and buy some more for the Tivs later.

Mine arrived today, fitted in 10min and much much brighter, think this is a no brainer upgrade, that may save a few of us having rear end shunts.

Thanks again for highlighting them on this thread.

If anybody goes for amber indicator CREE's can they post the results?

Interested in how much brighter they are and if they flash at the regular rate.

Thanks

Well worth the cash Daz.

People spend £100’s if not £1000‘s on a few horsepower yet this is a genuine safety upgrade for just a few quid.

And I've never heard of 0.34bhp (working on £100/bhp) making the car better.

Swings and roundabouts.
