Found this Youtube video for a plethora of LED, 7" headlamps...worth a watch based on what I have read on this thread so far.
IMHO, the best one to keep in with the 'old, original style', is the United Pacific 31391 7" Round Chrome LED Reflector Headlight. Worth watching the video for the LUX rating @ 25ft.

I started this post back in 2014 and I'm still running my reflector friendly shielded gen 4 LED H4s, I would not consider returning to traditional incandescent bulbs, after careful adjustment I do not get flashed or cause issues to other drivers.
The improvement in light output my gen 4 LEDs offer was well worth the £50 I paid and I've seen no real evidence to say the way more expensive alternative from Philips offers any genuine advantage over what I have.
My LED H4s are way brighter, offer much better visibility, draw a lot less current and have 10 times the life of a traditional incandescent bulb.

Dave, I've got LED H7's on my Tuscan dip headlights now - largely as a result of this thread! The improvement in light output my gen 4 LEDs offer was well worth the £50 I paid and I've seen no real evidence to say the way more expensive alternative from Philips offers any genuine advantage over what I have.

I tried some LED 5W/21W stop and tail lights, but find the offset pins are not long enough to properly locate/secure the LED fitting into the lamp holder. It would appear that the metal 'case' of the LED fitting gets slightly 'dimpled' when the resistance welding machine adds the pins to the assembly ...Have you any recommendations?

bit of a resurrection as there has probably been some improvements in the last couple of years
are there any decent H4 LED bulbs?
I'm running Gen 5 Philips based H4's in my Cerb (single headlight) and they are superb. Great cut off, loads of light (probably better than my 530d xenons), and they don't seem to dazzle anyone. Humped it through Wales in the dead of night and was seriously impressed tbh.are there any decent H4 LED bulbs?

The Auxito units on Ebay work great and are UK based and have a guarantee, I used the 380 & 382 bulbs on the rear of the Tiv and they work great , any help you can give these morons behind that are not paying attention is a bonus in my book
...Thanks Simon! The pictures on eBay look as though the 'base' is not dimpled - thereby increasing the effective pin length.

That is just rear lights no? Their H4 bulbs appear to just be the cheap Chinese ones with UK stock.

Fitted just fine, tried some of the other bright etc etc and was disappointed to say the least these were 3rd time lucky , not sure how dazzling at night they are whilst sitting at traffic lights with your foot on the brake pedal as I tend to use the hand-brake The pictures on eBay look as though the 'base' is not dimpled - thereby increasing the effective pin length.

After trying a few different ones and running into the same issue I've now got these fitted and they're considerably better than the ones I've tried before which had a mix of breakages and them showing little difference between the rear and brake function.Nick

Did they really take 40-50 days to ship? A slow boat to China?

What are people using for chimaera headlights?
Bulb or the unit? Bulb is fairly well covered above Unit, well that's a whole other batch of threads. Google search is your friend. Or search 'flaired in headlights' or 'lupo headlight fitting' for alternatives. BMW mini lights have been fitted but, imho, gave the chimp the Morgan Aero 8 'look'.
