A lot of people say that you can weld the replacement outriggers in situ without the need for a body lift, but my question is how can you do a complete seem weld around the tubing with the body on. Unless there is some form of specialist Mig Welding Torch Head that is now available!

I did mine with the body on although I employed a professional welder to weld the tubes to the chassis.

If you speak to R T Racing who supplied the kit they will tell you that they fit the outrigger kit with the body in place.

A coded welder is a qualification for a skilled a welder, that shows there competent in welding materials such as mild steel to a certain standard. There are plenty of pigeon poo welders out there, but the weaknesses in there welds don't appear until a crack detection of the weld is carried out.

Oh FFS seriously most capable workshop mechanics can weld to a standard that exceeds TVR's attempt rolleyes trust me and yes I can MIG weld which is why I am giving my I opinion I know of at least 2 really good welders nearby who can turn out MIG all day long that looks like this and they are not certified or full time welders just capable mechanics one late 20's and the other an old boy like me hehe
Sure there are some clowns/monkeys out there frown but good MIG welds on mild steel/stainless steel look right because they are right (crap welding is hard to disguise if left bare/unfinished) its not the same as ally TIG where a weld can look OK but be piss poor/weak
