I was 50/50 whether to do the same colour scheme as you did, look really good with those split rims & nice touch with the contrasting bolts against the black, set it off well

These were what was already on the chim (do excuse the state of the hood & wheels)

My body has been removed now... awaiting the first set of photos to come through and then I'll start a thread on mine too!

Paul

Before the body lift could you see any signs of corrosion on your chassis?

Yes, on the outriggers and also what can be seen of the chassis in the engine bay didn't have much powder coat left and was quite showing quite a lot of surface corrosion. I bought the car knowing I was going to do a full refurb. I decided at least that way I'd have a solid base to work from before doing anything else to it.

Dave - might even have the hood sorted by the time you see it next!

nice one paul, are you going for any upgrades along the way? I just got my nrakes left to sort out now, still in two minds about sticking the 888 calipers on or not

thats a very sensible way of thinking, alot people throw alot of their money on engine and brake upgrades shinny new paint and interior without getting the chassis and its ancillaries sorted first!!!!!!!!!!!!!furioussmash

You decided against adding seat mounts to the chassis?

Not really, just having bits that make sense to have replaced whilst the car's in bits like clutch, fuel pump, braided brake hoses, nitron dampers, water hoses and stainless pipes, steering uj's and heat shields. Brakes are standard 500 but freshly done before I bought it from Fernhurst along with fuel lines and cv boots.

Once the bank balance has recovered a bit from this hit, I'm planning on getting the MBE engine management and perhaps a few other bits done to the engine. Then finally in the distant future I'll get a respray and retrim done. By that point it'll be time to start again!

Nice work thumbup but get that bolt reversed before the body goes back on (inc the offside side) or you will regret it later on grumpy
