Check the switching sequence on the micro switch as some have different contact points so you cant swop wire for wire.
Check with a multi meter for make and break.

So do mean the red , yellow and blue wires, as the other side of the switch is a multi plug?

Once you are sure the park switch is connected correctly you can carry out a simple test

With the park switch connected but not fitted to the wiper motor gear housing, switch the wipers to the off position and turn the ignition on, the wipers should now be running at 1st speed, now press the park switch contacts actuator pin and the wipers should stop no matter where they are on the screen
If the above tests as is, you will have proved that the park switch and wiper switch are functioning correctly and will need to take a look at the cam that is mounted on the face of the wiper motor gear as it is the cam that presses the park switch

Make sure you have soapy water at hand to apply to the screen otherwise you may end up with a scratched screen

I now have self parking wipers, as the switch was new i tested it as surggested and found it to be ok, i think there was two problems, one the wipers need to be in the middle of the screen and two you need to make sure the spring clip does not move when you push the clip home.
If this had not worked i think it would be a worn cam.
Many thanks to all who helped.
