Excellent John. Is this going to be a normal car or are you planning upgrades/re designs smile

I can almost feel the cars relief that it's been released from its darkened life in that garage.

It's been waiting for you for some time then smile

All good things come to those who wait. biggrin

John, I've always enjoyed your build projects and will be following this one as it unfolds.

That engine is horrendous. Was it stored outside with the bonnet open?

Did you manage to start the engine whilst in that condition? Lots of pics. please.

latest update wheels are off revealing very corroded wishbones perished brake pipes and very rusty chassis, also removed the seats and all the rotten carpet had to use the wet vac as quite a lot of water remaining in the footwells, ecu is a ball of ally oxide not sure what the insides like but emerald will fix that side of things, seats will clean up but drivers seat being partially under water has corroded through the foam seat sqab wire mesh support so will need attention but progress is being made.

update for week so far, the body is now off and chassis in fabricating shop, top off engine to release the loom easily, roof off which was a nightmare all the fixings rusted badly so no chance of undoing, but all ready to strip the suspension out prior to shotblasting to really see what we have but although the outriggers are the worst i have seen rest looks ok, shocks are shot bounces for ages.

Easy I suspect .............................. just park in out of sight in a very damp place and leave to rot for several years. Just like they did.

You have your work cut out on this one it seems.
