Have fun!!
Watch out for the Armco there though...
It's a great circuit, once you get over your "OMG" moment when you see how close the barriers are at the main corners. It's a fun drive in a TVR. Watch out for the Armco there though...
Have a look at Matthew Poxon's video of a casual stroll around the circuit for reference.

Wrong approach.
You should learn the track and build up gradually.
If CC bites, it bites hard.
You are not allowed to time yourself anyway.
What tyres are you going to be using?
It was only in jest Anthony, I'm going to be terrified! I'll be taking the same approach I would with a new kart circuit, easy as I can get away with until I feel my way round and then push on progressively from there You should learn the track and build up gradually.

She's on Yokohama Advan Sports!

Something with more bite than ours Alun
Exactly Mike. Just read your reply to Anthony Edited by CanoeSniffer on Thursday 18th May 15:13
I bet you end up fully hard on shocks as they soften up when hot real bad, they did when I used them, I'm hoping the refurb will offer better resistance.
Saying that I like a car with no suspension really, rock hard
I think you might need a bit of compliance where your going
Yeah take it easy, check the car then build. Great fun if you keep the pressure off yourself.
My first trackday, ( I've only managed a few ) was soaking wet on a new engine and bald old bad bad tyre's
Compared to Carting it feels like your driving 6/10 ths until you slide off and realise it's fast and your fked. Be careful and get to know the car. Then rag the st out of it
Have a great day
Closing speed towards corners would be my main concern, you'll probably get your braking points sorted early but if your not sure it's easy to brake a bit late and here we go!
Goodluck mate.
Would be awesome to see you there fellas! Being a track day virgin I'd really appreciate having some more experienced heads around me plus more TVRs is definitely a good thing!
And Liam, I've just got everything crossed that I'm not being retrieved from the Armco at quarry by the time you turn up!

Glad you replied. Very nice and the front wing, never seen that before. Racecar so puts it in perspective
Did you set that record. Impressive time isn't it
I think the O /P will be finding out the brakes fade, his tyre's over heat and he won't get two laps alone to even get flowing knowing some trackdays.
Agree entirely with your advice above and as Anthony points out, many laps in the bag and building experience is what it's all about, I enjoy that journey as much as eventually getting consistent fast laps together.
Timing yourself on trackdays isn't always a good idea until your comfortable and the traffic makes it hard work.
Depends who's there I suppose and the quality of drivers and cars around you.
There's nothing like going round with other Tvr drivers that's for sure especially if they know the track and help you get braking zones and apexes together quicker.
They know the limits of the car and a few good sighting laps are vital before head down going for it before you even know the place.
Its a road car. I'd be surprised if he's taking it on a trailer,,,, if he is then he'll be flat chat within 5 laps so ignore me
