I will do one final review at 6am tomorrow, and be down just for the say if we look likely to get some runs in on Saturday. I can do the 18 hours work on Sunday before setting off to clients at 4.30 am Monday.

There's been none of the expected heavy rain so far.
I think it will be a few quick down pours or nothing at all like today!
See you all tomorrow smile

Sunday is dry in the morning at the moment with the possibility of showers in the afternoon. Much the same as Saturday at the moment.

Rain and wind during the night here in Warwickshire but awoke to calm warm sunny weather. Broken clouds etc but looking good. I might even wash the car smile
Goodluck to all the boys today and tomorrow.
Fastest Tvr in the land are going to be there so quite the spectacle and well worth a day out if you like fast cars with fast engines and there's those ones with funny turbo thingies also showing up to literally chuck themselves up the road at excessive speed, awesome smile
What I like is you've got these really fast Tvr there,,, yet the owners are such good chaps, proper down to earth yet mad scientists all of them.
A normal Tvr might make 105 mph at the 1/4 mile line,,, fast,,,, and about 14 seconds if your good at it.
Some of these cars are touching 130 mph and under 11 seconds to 1/4 mile,,, think about that for a minute. Not many of these cars have been built at Tvr dealers or specialists, its all been done at home. These are the experts in many ways and if I wanted to see what mods I should or shouldn't do I'd be talking with these guys first.

I have a time imprinted on my brain
12.481 and one day I'll try breaking it, hi Alex smile sadly not this weekend but I'm still looking forward to meeting up with these crazy horses and marvelling at their cars thumbup

Terrible night, no sleep. Just watched the BBC TV weather. Sorry guys, but if they are correct I will be arriving at the same time as the first downpour, so "Ah'm oot ". See you next time and I hope the forecast is wrong

A real shame that the weather did let us down, I know Neal was so looking forward to this as was we all. He only got two runs and had to watch bikes pushing in the queue. (we made our thoughts known) mad
However, it was great to again meet some very nice guys and catch up. Richards car sounds so sweet, so glad he got there in the end with his build after being pissed about by someone who should know better. (what is it about so called experts?) Bazza, what can we say? a poxy seal. But then again he couldn't have had anymore goes. Feel for the guys that travelled such a distance clap
Really wanted to stay and have the craic, but not much fun soaking wet is it. Alun, ROCK ON BLOKE!!! xx
I spend my time in the citayyyyyyy, but there's no easy way awwwwt music

Not me. Just arrived home after the 120 mile journey.

It was absolutely pishing down when I left and all the way home.

Managed four runs and beat my personal best of 12.07 with 10 year old road tyres with a 12.6 second run!

As Mac said, great to meet up again but the weather conditions and about 100+ bikes were against us!

I am very much up for the next one.....as long as someone checks with the track ahead of time for hazards like 100 priority bikes.
I would have been blocking the start until they got their act together. The older I get, the less tolerant I am of unfair treatment.
I am not going to Sandra Pod again (bloody Ipad) to have 40 seconds Motorsport in five bored hours. You can't even watch the action from the queue at the Plod.

I went on a track day at Donington last autumn where we had three groups of cars and two of bikes, in sessions. So the organisers gave the cars 20 minutes per session, the bikes 30. The riders were all knackered after 15 minutes on track and the circuit virtually empty thereafter,, the car drivers seething after one brief session in two hours, which got buggered by a red flag. So I threw a strop and got the organisers to give us somewhere closer to equality. It can be done, you just have to get cross enough.madfurious

Such a shame on the weather.
What respect one must have for guys prepared to make the journey and still keep smiling through when the conditions and the numbers conspire against you.
Can we hire the track for a weekend!!!!!! There's a bar we could get a really good band to play wink
I'll keep an eye on events at Shakey because when it's gone it's gone and a lovely open space will be lost for good.
The band will be there next time too, you'll have a bit of a craic then lads.

Mac biggrin
Why did you do it
Why did you do that thing to me. hehe cool song thumbup

So enjoyed seeing the cars today.
So frustrating the boys didn't get any proper track time.
I'm slowly falling in love with these hyper tuned cars. Neals, piece of art and Richards just the same, Richard gave me a lift up the pit road, 5mph and I had fear,, what cars, there totally insane brilliant things.
My heart is still with the n/a cars and they do sound good smile
As Frank is still there and hoping for track time tomorrow I'll go back over to support and I'm hoping Richard will also have another go smile

Barry cracks me up, he's all unassuming and no sense of bravado,,, just quietly goes about it with this matter of fact way, then bangs in world record pace like it's a doddle, cool blokes the lot of em. It's a privilege as not all racers have a sense of humour hehe
fking rain, I'd compiled a list of faults to rip the lads as I took a slating last time, like a pack of wolves, coming at me at different angles and even two at a time,,, thing is there a funny bunch,,, Macs Tvr less, I'm brainless so we're " getting the band back together " and then gonna blow your heads off biglaugh
That bar looked like it was gagging for a band in the corner Neal/ Mac,,,, next time blokes it's going to be a Tvr extravaganza come what may and you'll not forget it in a hurry.
We better be ready for the Tvr launch Mac/ Neal, Lez is bound to book us biggrin

Very bad luck the weather conspired against this; was really looking forward to seeing what times might have been set... was no hope at all for me of getting over as still chasing cooling system woes but was hoping a good day could be had so trusting those still there are taking alcoholic solace. Another day will come yes

Enjoyed the short time I was there today, weather was toilet but the company is 1st class, some serious enthusiasm for TVR and knowledge about modifications and an unmatched community spirt to pass on knowledge and help each other.
The knowledge available should be put together and open a true TVR specialist. (Now there's a thought)
Beautiful DB9 visited us and it was well and truly drooled over (good job it rained)
Every time I've come to one of these mets it cost me £££ santa pod, upgraded clutch.
Now I'm looking at boost control options. Cheers Mac.
Next time I'll be stopping over and putting in some times and emptying lots of cans.
Hope your heads are ok when you read this.
Good luck tomorrow.
