Hi folks, as per the title, I’m looking for relatively nearby TVR owners who would be willing to show me around their pride and joys!

I’m in the market for a Chimaera, but as everyone says, you need to view as many as possible so you don’t end up with a lemon. Unfortunately this is impossible in Scotland, as there are none for sale near me!
So I wondered if you kind Scots people could show me some examples, so I know what to look for when I travel a long way to view/buy one.

I can’t repay the favour with a run in a sportscar (unless a 1600 Beetle counts), but I can provide the beer! Or if you’re into your two wheel stuff; I’ll come along on the most powerful naked bike Ducati make smile

Och aye the noo!

ASD2001 lives just south of Perth. He's got a very nice Chim. Maybe send him a PM?

Yes - between Kinross and Dollar. There is also another chim nearby, but not sure if the owner (Hugh) is on here. Unfortunately don't tend to head up north of Dundee much. Barry at tvr ecosse is very helpful and might be able to put you in touch with some local owners or know some for sale.

Hi Andrew, the other Chim, is that the one I keep seeing on the A85?

Shouldn't think so - he doesn't do much mileage. Great road, was up to glencoe myself last weekend. Cheers

Hi Gus,

I'm in Aberdeen and have a chimaera 500. There are few TVRs in the area. The fennel cafe in Inverurie is quite a popular meeting spot on a Sunday morning. See post below.

Mines the blue chim towards the bottom of that post.

More than happy if you want to head round and take a look, although I'll be taking it off the road soon, if the dam weather doesn't improve, for a few winter upgrades.

Thanks very much, everyone! I visited TVR Ecosse and Barry put me in touch with someone looking to upgrade and reluctantly sell their 4.6 Chim. All the good stuff had been upgraded / replaced, so I didn’t hesitate in taking it off his hands!

Thanks Angus#337, I’ve been to the V8 breakfast a few times but never in a V8! I reckon I might go along this Sunday, as the weather is looking alright.
Maybe see you / other TVRs there to compare squeaks and rattles! I also need a lesson in how to store the targa top.... I couldn’t for the life of me get it to fit in the boot.
Cheers,
Angus#1 biggrin

I am living in Cyprus at the moment but moving to Elgin next year, the closest l've been to living in Scotland is north Yorkshire so a steep learning curve for me with TVR help, so more TVR freinds on Phers and TVRCC the better .

Looks fantastic, best colour combo too (blue/magnolia)

Not driven mine for 5 weeks due to a combination of holidays and crap weather so needs a run. hopefully I'll head up Sunday morning, unless the wife has made other plans.
