Chap here has fitted one from a Seat Leon Cupra R
Wonder if something like this :-
eBay item number:291796982247
KH Front Splitter originally for the MGF now copied and made by Moto-Build. I had one of these on my 97 MGF and it did make a difference to the front end light feel making it more planted at speed especially in swweping curves.

Would this self adhesive stuff be any use?
I'm guessing the adhesive would be rubbish but maybe a few rivets would keep it in place.

Seen that stuff before and always decided against it - but I suppose you'd get the perfect fit and curve.....But would it actually be giving and aerodynamic benefit?
Adhesive stuff - looks good probe doesn't work
Half drainpipe - work but looks silly.
My issue is I want something that looks good and works
Current favourite would be cupra R or MGF splitter
Small splitters like those shown do work. Don't go too big or too low though. The splitter adds front grip which is great but the rear grip remains the same so the car becomes unbalanced especially under hard braking or turning at high speed. I have spent 5 years trying all sorts of aero (without large rear wings) on my griff and I have ended up reducing the size of my front splitter because the car became lethal and very unstable at high speed.

Did you try one akin to the Cupra R splitter, ie forward facing and close to the front, and if you did, what did you think of it?Do you have any photos of your car as it presently is?
I am presently using a Harris wallpaper cutting measure as my splitter, in the normal Chimaera position under the front. Don't laugh, I needed one on a Sunday before a track day on a Monday, and it was all i could find. It is two feel long, and about three inches wide, with an angle coming off it at 60 degrees, the whole length of the thing. Made of aluminium. Car seems to handle fine with it, it's just that endless desire to meddle that is getting me looking at the Cupra one.
Picture, 1000 words etc

here you go my current reduced size front splitter and rear gurney. it is better balanced but still too much at the front.see below video clip for what happens with too much front down force. that was pretty much in a straight line and all I did was lift off the accelerator at 126mph this was with a full front splitter and a flat floor under the engine bay as well. What I have discovered is that aero is voodoo - without a wind tunnel or serious amounts of time on trial and error you just cannot get it right.

Sorry in answer to the real question the cupra r one is probably perfect. Bear in mind thought that it will make virtually no difference at legal speeds in the uk. They dont really work until the speed rises.
Thanks for the photos. Very interesting. I won’t be going that far. Mine is a road car with a few track days a year thrown inYour comment that the Cupra one would only work above 70 mph is superb news.
My car handles very nicely at road speeds, I am just keen to improve front end sticking power at track cornering speeds.

Yep agree this is perfect - I find that on the AutoBahn, only above 80/90mph the front becomes very light and twitchy so the Cupra R seems ideal!Your comment that the Cupra one would only work above 70 mph is superb news.

Possibly out of interest, that is No3 son.We were at the Curborough club sprint. He had hardly driven any RWD cars and has a 1.2 Corsa.
His first lap, 1.38
His fastest of the day, 1.28
My quickest 1.25
I stopped him there just in case he improved
Back on topic. Even with my carbon fibre splitter, the front is quite light at high speed. I don't believe that can be improved upon too much as the car was never designed to be super stable at that speed due to a number of constraints, (money, ability, time, technology, etc).
Bored at my desk...........watching the light snow.......
