A lot of it is down to personal best, improving on your first run, remembering to stay calm and give just the right revs while releasing the clutch at just the right speed to coincide with the grip and then pressing the throttle into the carpet while changing gear as fast as you can. Easy!

Not easy actually as can be seen by the 0-60 foot times.

Look at those, it really makes a difference.

I'm pretty good at getting off the line but fall down at gear changing as I have too much mechanical sympathy for the best times.

No mention there of selecting the correct gear.

I rue the day I borrowed Derek’s tyres, got the best start I’d had all weekend but failed to raise ride height,,, cos I was lazy and did the slowest terminal speed of my weekend at 108 with tyres rubbing on wheel arches but still did my fastest time.
I got phased instead of keeping to my goal of beating Alex time and decided to quit but the more I look at it the closer I should have been to a 12.4
I did a 12.7 on road tyres with iffy starts!
Bugs me now,,,,, beacuase Derek lending me those tyres I should have maxed that opportunity. Sorry Champ bow

Set your ride height 10mm higher and set those rear shocks to hard and fronts to soft and you should be fine. I have 3 pairs of MTs to use. 2 sets are on 4 studs and 1 on 5 stud wheels, so no excuses.

I have spent the last 2 weekends working in the garage with Santa Pod live on my ipad. I need to get on the strip soon before I go mental!

I’m spending time preparing a room for my mum at my sisters place and watched/listened to about 7 hrs of F1 incl practice sessions yesterday.. that’s a form of insanity surely.
Rock on Ricardo smile

Well there’s an offer that’s very difficult to resist. If anyone fancies a go at this, those tyres will offer smooth grip and less bounce. Well worth it.
Very generous as always Derek.
