Can I wish you all a really good meet.
I won't be there, the drag strip simply isn't a boat floater for me, but I hope you have a really great time.
Corners are more my thing....

I will try to get my deputy, Nigel, along in his Morris Minor.
It does have a 4.6 RV8 and nitrous.......

So who is definitely thinking of coming along?

1. Derek Beck. Chimaera 4.6. 330bhp + Nitrous. Mickey Thompson drag radials.
2. Steve_D. No car just coming for a laugh and a meet with good friends.
3. Dan Lloyd. Chimaera 4.1 Wildcat.

Anyone else? I don't fancy my chances against Derek?! biggrin A good range of different cars would be good - supercharged, 5-litres +, etc

Fairly obvious choice, I would have thought - just stick the cruise control on and have a nap on the way up the strip.
Drag racing for the older geezer.....getmecoat

Some mean motors here scratchchin
The most popular is likely to be the turbo diesel and Derek’s Chilli thumbup

Looking forward to a great weekend. It would be even better if we see a few new TVRs giving the strip a try. I promise if you haven't tried it before you will love pushing your car to run its best 1/4 mile time. It becomes addictive and I will be there to support you as best I can.

A couple quick questions for you Derek, if that's okay? Done a few track days and been to a few hill climbs & sprints but never been drag racing so please excuse the basic questions!
Roughly how many runs do you typically get in one day, assuming the car is all ok?
Is it okay to take passengers (although I know that it won't give me the best time)?
Looking forward to it! :-)
