Holy moly,,, you’ve borrowed that graph hehe
So where has the extra 25 hp come from as it can’t be from an ecu upgrade or can it!
Explain for all of us to know who to go to from now on.

What’s important to remember is I never had any tuning done to my standard 4.6 at all, nothing zilch zero, other than different injectors which only offer a slight benifit of spray pattern.

340 ft lb torque from 2000 revs that must be the best I’ve ever seen or near as damn it.
Rather than start this stupid debate over which Ecu is best explain exactly the mods and how this has been achieved as there’s never just one reason alone. It’s a 5.0 so it’s always going to have that extra bit of torque and hp from a standard 4.6

Without factual evidence we are not comparing apples with apples.

Congratulations and I can’t wait to see you muller a few times on the strip as this suggests high 11’s all day long.

Andav,,, you should ask Powers what I asked for before you compare bloody Ecu, torque at the expense of hp and my standard 4.6 has just under 350 ft lb !!! PJ deserves all he can get as he’s been building this car for exactly what he’s achieved, I’m only mildly miffed ,,,,,, biggrin

I’ve done my best to be fair about all these Ecu over my time, I adore how my car drives on the road which was what it was tuned to do.

It’s time the same car went on both dynamics as it’s bks to suggest anything unless they are caliberated to the same standards.

Well done Pete,,, im still champ for now biglaugh

By the way I’d still win an endurance race as you’ll run out of fuel half way round. My car does 30 + mpg what’s yours do??? I’m talking to you Andav wink

I take it the spare heads you were working on did the trick?? Tremendous torque at low revs, even on the 'proper' graph!

Don’t give me that you knew what you were doing biggrin

I’m a bit emotional today as I’ve been talking to grasstrack friends from 30 years ago and connected up with a great friend who built my first 500. So many memories flooding back and he’s just offered to build me another one, he has a broken neck to this day,,,, I politely declined but I’d so love to have another go on one but my left knee is complaining about the idea let alone my back.
Feeling pumped then that graph above shook me to the core hehe

Nice numbers and curves there, good for a mid to low 12 I reckon.

Whos up for a meet up at the pod on Saturday 28th March then to shake the cobwebs off and kick some tyres?

I hope you come along Alun, just bring the car and I will provide burgers and beer mate. We are a collective and need to look after each other. Wouldn't be the same without you there.

We all make it what it is and the friendships last forever.
My respect for all that just turn up goes deep because that’s what racing is really all about. The cars we bring along just prove what great effort we put in and it’s like a huge priviledge to be part of it.
Thanks Derek from a British drag racing Champion that means the world to me.

Done on the Chim group but I will start a proper thread here and spread the word to all other TVR groups as best I can when I have time.
I plan to be at the pod regularly this year and also a few other meets are in my calendar such as half mile action near Leeds, Snowdonia aerospace center to name 2.
