I use 5 mm concentric ones allround.
I wouldn’t go any wider without changing for longer wheel studs, a friend went 10mm with longer studs no problem.

Did you see Bentley Turbo R on this weeks top gear where it lost a wheel with a broken spacer when it was on track!

Yes I used 12mm spacers on both the front and rear for 4 years, then I bought bells and rotors and had bespoke bells made to incorporate the spacers smile

I run 5mm front, 12 rear. Tried 20mm on the rear (testing rear widths before commiting to the fronts) and it rubbed on compression with 235 width tyres.

Think 12mm is the sweet spot..?

Sounds spot on. Did you use longer studs and nuts? If so could you point me in the direction. I've bought 5mm which I don't envisage needing to change the front bolts thumbup

I use 5mm spacers most of the time, as all nut one set of my wheels are Ford fit 17 inch, so a bigger ET than standard.
As said above, 5mm are fine - I wouldn't go over 6mm without fitting longer studs.
I have had a wheel come off my trailer at speed thanks to ignoring this rule.

Don't see a problem? ................... biggrin

Wheel studs are Ford so anywhere like Demon Tweeks, Rally Design, Etc or Ebay will have various lengths.

I think TVR fitted longer than "standard" so check lengths, some suppliers quote them as "standard plus 10mm" or whatever which may end up being same as you have!
