The issue I have had with the 'dual' LED bulbs is them not getting brighter when the brakes are applied. Have you checked this? Tried cheap and expensive on a couple of the TVRs all to no avail. I have seen them work really well - on an S - but had little luck myself. Not sure I want much bright rear lights but the brake lights, definitely.

I did similar after Anthony Qbee did a bit of research.
I can’t take the credit wink

Here’s my brake lights and indicators at the same time.
Brighter stop and tail but you can still see indicators easily.

Great mod and I’m pretty sure vehicles stay a safer distance back since I did this a couple of years ago.

Just bought myself some of these. They certainly appear to be good quality.
I'm assuming rear light bulb replacement is one of the easier tasks on a Chimaera. Someone tell me they're accessed from within the boot pleeeease and not by taking the outer lens cover off. thumbup

I presume early ones are similar.
Yes access the boot and in each corner you should find pieces of carpet Velcro’d on to the boot carpet.
Peel them off carefully and that will reveal the tail light cluster.
Later cars each light bulb holder is simply screwed into its female counterpart.
Unscrew to reveal bulbs.

I then wind the wiring back a bit so when screwed back in its all nice and straight. smile

Our sons friend had the perfect answer to tail gaters:

He had an old MG Midget ( with carburettors) if someone drove too close he used to switch off the ignition wait a few seconds then switch it back on. The car behind was then engulfed in a sheet of flame. Certainly effective!

OK, thanks. I did wonder if that would be the case, although I'm afraid that area of expertise is totally outside my skillset. confused If you do find a suitable unit, please do share. thumbup
