Hi All
Looking for the most up today EPROM / Maps for my stock 99 plate 43k miles 400 Chim?
On looking in the ECU I was surprised to see a chip with Land Rover 4Ltr written on it, so thought that might be the reason I have had some over run shunting and perhaps a lack of overall performance compared to other 4 ltr TVRs I have owned.
I believe and maybe wrong / out of date, that there were some updated tweaks / maps done to improve aspects of the fuelling and performance etc?
Any advice / comments gratefully received :-)
Chris

Lots of info here with free maps to try.
Problem is you need the kit to burn the chip but I don't think it's expensive.

Later UK Land Rover 3.9 fuel maps have lower Main & AFM scalars (54DD & B2) than TVR 400s (56CC & B9) (which can be seen in RoverGauge), therefore your LR chip could run leaner and cause shunting.
I don't mind sorting you a standard late Chimmy factory 400 chip or one of my efforts that combines Land Rover's later program code (R3365) with TVR's 400 fuel data plus a couple of my own subtle tweaks?
I’ve replied to your PM so you can let me know via email.

So fitted the updated chip from Steve and ............... wow car transformed ... :-)
Starts and idles perfectly hot or cold - all lower rpm shunting has disappeared - acceleration is 100% improved - rich running smell at cold has all but disappeared.
Am I happy - yes :-) thanks guys!
And a merry Christmas to all!

Thanks for your kind words, it good to know my R3365_400_5500 chip runs ok, I’ll make it available on my website for other TVR 400 CAT and non CAT owners to download.
However, I can’t take all the credit as I’m sure your biggest improvements came from switching back to a TVR fuel map from your LR fuel map but I'm sure my few subtle tweats do help.
I work on the 14CUX to improve my Griff and its satisfying helping other TVR owners plus I enjoy the challenge of cracking the 14CUX.
Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any issues or suggestions.
