Hi all,

I'm reaching out to anyone in Aylesbury or the surrounding area who is interested in helping Peter Essling create a template for Chimaera rear outrigger protectors.

Peter already offers an excellent set for the front but needs access to a Chimaera to create templates for the rear outrigger protectors, I would offer my own Chimaera but it's currently in Sheffield with Alex Wheatley having the following issue addressed.

A set of rear outrigger protectors could really help you and every other Chimaera owner avoid the above, if you can help please comment directly against this post and/or send me a PM.

Thanks in advance,

Dave.

I recently purchased a set of the front protectors and would love to help, but as I am in Falkirk, Scotland am a smidge too far.

I recently bought a set of Peter's front outrigger protectors too, in my opinion they are superb and will massively extend outrigger life.

If fitted immediately after a new set of outriggers have been installed basically the corrosion issue in that area will be a thing of the past.

We now just need him to come up with a rear set, and for that he needs a Chimaera to make up the templates.

Can anyone help?

Fairly certain that Brendan at Concept Performance in Sheffield already makes some sort of outrigger protector, I know that one of the local guys has them fitted to his Chim

Not what you are after, but being a cheapskate I made my own. I cut the cable tie from time to time to check but always clean and grit free.

All these examples people have created themselves are great, in my opinion anything that stops spray going down the length of the outriggers and road muck from collecting in the outrigger corners is going to massively extend the life of this most vulnerable part of the chassis.

It looks like with the help of Facebook a Chimaera owner in Aylesbury has kindly stepped forward to allow Peter to take his measurements so the purpose of this post has been covered.

Thanks all for sharing photos of your outrigger protectors.

Kind regards,

Dave.
