Rare opportunity for a weekend drag racing 11/12th July

The Straighliners team have managed to secure Elvington airfield for a rare drag race event on the 11th and 12th of July.
For those desperate to blow the cobwebs off your cars then this could be a unique opportunity.
This isn't your average RWYB type event. Numbers are limited so you will get plenty runs on the super smooth surface that Elvington offers.
Obviously there are rules and conditions that wont suit everyone.
There are no entries on the day, you have to pre book either a day pass of the full weekend on the Straighliners website.
Price is £60 per day.
You need to be a straighliners member. This costs £30 but will allow you to attend future events such as the all new track that's just been laid at the old York raceway site now known as Melbourne Raceway.
You can only bring 1 other person with you currently due to covid rules.
Camping is allowed but social distancing rules must be kept to.
Racing is over 1/4 mile with state of the art timing equipment.
You will need to bring a helmet.
Your car needs to be safe to race and will be checked.
There is a noise restriction of 105db so some decat cars may need tail cans.
Like I say this is a rare and unique opportunity. The best we can get in current times until further lockdown measures are lifted.
I really do hope to see a few TVRs come along.
