Engine Bay heater pipes and PAS fluid reservoir relocation
Discussion
To try and get to the bottom of the ticking noise from my engine, I've pulled in the inlet manifold and Rocker covers to inspect the valve gear. The good news is that the Cam, Lifters, rockers ect. . all look good with very little wear. I suppose the bad news is that I didn't really find anything untoward, that may be causing the ticking. I've stripped and cleaned all the lifters, as a few were solid and wouldn't drain down. I'm now in the process of re-assembly, so still need to check the lifter preload.
One thing that really bothers me is the heater pipes running down the Drivers side rocker cover and the location of the power steering fluid reservoir, which really restrict access. I don't have a dizzy so planning to relocate the PAS reservoir there and also route the heater pipes through the valley, below the inlet manifold. Looks fairly straight forward, but just wanted to check if anyone else had done both jobs and whether they had any issues with the routing.
