Only recently I threw out a catalogue from Autostyle. A few years ago a TVR owner wrote a bit in Sprint saying how good they were. Guess a search will find them!

I have a friend who runs his own business in Milton Keynes refurbishing the inside of sports cars.... seats, carpets and the suchlike. I can't vouch for his work, as I've not had it done yet, but he is very busy which would suggest he's moderately competent. I could get you his number.

dulu - what is your mates name/number? I am looking to have my wedge recarpeted. I'm in Northampton, so MK would be very handy.

(you may need a commission at this rate!)

Think so. The guy who wrote about them in Sprint had a Wedge, and Autostyle had never done one before so they made some templates specially. As I recall he could pretty much spec them exactly how he wanted them, TVR logo etc etc.

Big Wedge..... let me know your email address and I'll give you his name and number. It seems a bit open for lunatics to post it in here.

Has anyone got an idea of the cost of re-carpeting a Chimaera? Mine came with impractical magnolia Wilton carpets, which are now a little faded, discoloured and tatty at the joins.
Thinking of changing them in the Spring, if they're beyond renovation.

Around 500 pounds for a re-trim, quote by a trim company that advertises in the back of SPRINT.

Just had mine done a few weeks ago by a chap based in suffolk. They had faded due to sun exposure (believe it or not). Replaced whole shelf part inc. new leather piping, door panels and touched-up the central section for £250. He did quote £500 for replacing the entire interior though.

Hi Guys,

I had my carpets replaced by GD Autotrim in Harlow. It was a good job and they have done a few Chimaera's before. Cost £515 using a high wool content rubber backed carpet which is slightly cheaper than Wilton (The OE) but more durable especially if it ever gets wet in the future. All the piping etc was well done and the fit was good as new. They also did a nice leather gaiter for the gearstick and handbrake (Though that was £50 more). Tel Number: 01279 423888
