"they all do that sir"

Reported a problem a couple of weeks ago with my Chimaera and the small fact that the headlights come on when the brake lights are on... a small an bizzare problem. Didnt fix itself so decided to get it seen to.
Anyway, took it back to David Gerald TVR (300 mile round journey) as it is covered under warranty to see what they can do. Long story, get to David Gerald, guess what - Yep, thats right - nothing wrong!!!!! Everything worked OK and no problems - Marshy, you can vouch for my problem...
Not much can be done really. They checked over the lights, bulbs, connectors and everything in between. Nothing amis. Nothing else that they can say except "they all do that sir!" - being a pain that is.
Anyone else have a similar experience to this? You know, wasted time, effort and money and lo-and-behold the problem goes away....
Bugger - did get to take the car for a nice long run though..
