New chimaera owner, and i have noticed two little foibles in an otherwise glorious car. First, on windscreen wiper speed 2, there is a bit of a judder as the wipers go up. 2nd, theres a slight rattle from inside the front/centre console during forward motion. Is this just a case of 'they all dom that sir' or anyone got anyone suggestions...
cheers, curry

I had a rattle that came from the dashboard area.

After much investigation found that it was the handbrake button rattling on the sleeve. Other options could be the stereo front rattling in the stereo itself or the steering wheel adjuster.

HTH.

I had the same wiper problem on my Griff.

The following didn't work:-

Replaced the wiper arms (the spring is pretty effeminate) and compared to my wifes Audi about as effective as a stick of rhubarb.

Got the garage to replace the wiper blades

Tried Rain X

Things that did work (perfectly)

Put on some decent Bosch wiper blades (with Carlos Fandango spoiler bits)

cheers guys. I'll definitely look into those things. Only had the car for two days and last night I found myself going into the garage for a final look before bedtime. Ended up climbing in and just sitting in it for about 15 minutes. Does that make me tragic?

I fitted decent Bosch wiper blades to my Chim and they do the business, watch it if you fit one with a spoiler thingy though - On mine I tried one with a spoiler on the offside but because of the angle that the blade moves through, the angle it made with the windscreen meant it used to scratch the windscreen slightly, I tried it on the near side and that was fine. Just bear that in mind before you chuck the receipt for the blades out as you may want to swap a spoiler'd one if it does that.
Just my experiences, probably don't count for much though!!
Oh, I sometimes go and check my Tiv last thing at night too, safety in numbers!

ok, dumbass question: where's the best place to get these Bosch wiper blades? Halfords ok? or are they a bit more specialist?

Halfords is where I got mine. Ignore the tempting cheapo ones and take one of yours in with you so you definately get the right size, TVR's don't appear in the fitment guide.
