You have to take the top of the dash off and un bolt it from behind. On mine it's actually quite easy, heres how: The top of the dash is secured on the drivers side by a screw just to the right of the dials as you're looking at them. The passenger's side is secured via a nut attached to a really long bolt. This can be accessed by unscrewing the glove "pouch" thing on the passengers side. Once you've unscrewed it you'll have to feel around for what should be a 10mm nut. After that it's plain sailing - the whole of the dashboard is very accessible. Do me a favour if you're sucessful, can you let me know what the wiring sequence is on the back of the fuel guage - mine seem to have got a bit messed up somewhere along the line. Good luck

Many thanks, general Lee - I haven't sent for the fuel guage yet, but I'll post up the details when it's sorted!

Boody hell fire!! Got my new guage, TMS mechanics very helpful in telling me how to get the dash top off - and the new guage is faulty as well!!!! TMS are sending another. Gen. Lee - My dash is bolted on differently to yours, but thanks for the post - I've left my bit of paper with the wiring sequence written on it, at home, so I'll catch up later.

Thanks - appreciate that - I might have guessed that the method of securing the dash would be different!

OK - WIRING SEQUENCE - On the back of the fuel gauge the terminals are numbered 1,2,3 and there's two spade terminals to the lightbulb. The light should have - the right terminal, if you're looking at it from the back should have a red/white wire, and the left terminal -> black wire, which also connects via a spade to terminal3. T2 has a green wire, and T1 green/black. By the way, Nubbin/dhwilson are one and the same..... spooky, huh! Edited by dhwilson on Tuesday 27th March 19:57
