Alternative Seats In A Griff

Has anyone had experience in putting seats other than those supplied with the car into a Griff 500? I'm just about to trade my 4.5 Cerbie in against and older Griff 500, the car is very nice with the exception of the seat trim, I can pay between 150-200 to get a seat retrimmed or for this money I can get a race seat. This is of interest because I intend to sprint the car later this year.

Try Clive Reed @ Zertec, www.zertec.co.uk. He's got some nice looking buckets about to become available. Other TVR seats might fit, according to TVR, but won't give you an increase in headroom, and from what I hear/read, might actually decrease it. Depends if you're tall or not... The Tuscan/Cerbera style seats in the latest Griffiths have had to be modified to give a slightly narrower backrest in order to clear the folding hood pivot. Mike
