Buy a new Merc Convertible for the same price as the Plus 6 and (true) get £8-10K off list.....however, in two years it will be worth half the purchase price and the Morgan will have dropped by a very small % of the buying price.Morgan's are one of the lowest depreciating cars......
The biggest "cost" of owning a car is deprecation.
I am waiting to see what the 4cyl version will be like.
Currently under development and test car has been spotted.
£80k start for the Plus6 is above my limit but the Plus4/Roadster versions might drop within reach. I will also be resisting the myriad of upgrades/options to basics. I would need a luggage rack. I would prefer a lockable glovebox too. Basic colours are fine. It is the driving that interests me not the bling!
I love my current car.....a Plus8 (Rover V8) for its drivability. It would have to go though as only a single garage and it would be needed as a teade-in.

The new 4 will come in at 65k I reckon.
I can't see that changing. They need the new chassis to meet safety standards in important markets, and they need the price of cars to increase to a margin where InvestIndustrial can make a profit.
There is a final traditional model coming out, I'm guessing Geneva.
Morgan have never worked by discounting. Have you tried the Aston Martin section?

That's my point - no manual, sitting on the most basic's of seats, it's only really shower proof in today's weather.At £60-70k it would be easier to explain to the other half, who by this time is sitting on a cushion, cold and holding on...
I have had many different cars over the years, so don't be too quick to judge.
At 55 and now a little more level headed. This is the first time Morgan has built a car that I fit into (shame on them! how thoughtless is that for a car company) but I was able to order a car in November and get it for Christmas that tells me something.

BUT, the probability of picking up one at £65k isn't going to happen because everyone who's paid £80k will want their money back
Surely, the more that's on the road, the more people will see them and want one!
