Interested in cheap MGF/TF

Hello all,
I was thinking of buying an MGF or TF (my budget's about £1000, so I'm at the low end).
Mainly for sunny sundays and the occasional track day. I have a "daily car". I don't mind a little spannering, but I don't have a drive, so it would be the kind of thing I can do in an hour or so on the road - don't really want to be replacing head gaskets, etc.

I've seen a couple that are interesting near me - I was wondering if anyone had any advice on what to look for specifically? Or what sort of wear and tear is acceptable and not to worry about?

Just bought another 1.6 TF today.

Check for rust, water in the oil, and how it drives on the road regards suspension issues.

Generally a bullet proof little car that handles superbly. Great fun for little money.
