Not a great fan of wire wheels. Always had minilites. However my newly aquired 1974 B has them which previous owners have tarted up with hamerite. Can they successfully be stripped back and powdercoated or chromed to make them shiny?
I suspect that to do a proper job of chroming or plastic coating, the wheels would need dismantling then rebuilding. It would be a lot cheaper to have them sand/soda or ? blasted and then resprayed- colour of choice, then with a clear topcoat.
