Hey

I'm looking to replace or upgrade from existing lead battery to a lithium battery. Curious if anyone has done this and what they have found to work.

FWIW I have a single battery setup.

Thanks

B

I'm using one of these on one of our race cars. its 2.13kgs. we used to run a red top 40 battery on the same car but the ATX20 has more cold cranking amps and is a lot lighter.

are you sure you mean lipos? The ones that go up in smoke at the slightest provocation?

No issues with alternators charging them? I've had rather poor luck using Lithium batteries on passenger cars.

Well, I'm no expert, but I thought that Lithium Ion is different from Lithium Polymer and the former are less safe than the latter! But that contradicts what the battery says, so who knows? I certainly don't seem to!
